JOB MAIN PURPOSE
As core member of the Product Team, will contribute to the development and execution of agreed strategy for Adalat, Eylea in Indonesia and WH portfolio in Malaysia and Singapore.
This position works to execute the medical component of brand strategies across the portfolio mentioned above, in addition to other tasks coming from the product team where the medical lead is in the best position to implement.
As medical alliance lead in Indonesia, will be the main contact person to support continuing knowledge transfer and enablement of the 3rd party partners to whom WH brands have been outsourced; will support the Asean medical lead in launching heart failure indication for Firialta in Indonesia.
As medical lead in Indonesia, will work with cross-functional team to manage product-related issues, ensure inspection-readiness and safeguard medical governance.
The Medical Lead demonstrates high levels of capability across responsibilities with significant experience of being a medical advisor in the industry and able to actively manage medical and clinical processes and activities to drive medical objectives across an assortment of therapeutic areas and portfolios (WH, CV, Ophthalmology and Established Products).
This position will be based in Indonesia.
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate as core member of the product team in Indonesia for Adalat and Eylea
- Participate as core member of the product team in Malaysia and Singapore for Women’s health brands
- As PT core member, will co-create strategic directions and lead implementation of the agreed plans where medical is in the best position to execute the strategy
- Lead and leverage integrated thought leader management in Indonesia, including maintaining good relationships with thought leaders across the relevant therapeutic areas
- As medical alliance lead, will serve as the main contact person at country level for the 3rd party partners to whom Bayer has outsourced CV and WH brands. Will ensure continuing knowledge transfer for WH brands. Will support the Asean Head of Medical in launching the heart failure indication for Firialta, including assistance in accelerating local health authority approval. Will participate in the regular meetings with 3rd party partners (ie. operational meetings and business reviews)
- Support the Asean Head of Medical in managing product related issues and risk management activities in Indonesia
- Serve as the company contact person and representative regarding medical and scientific aspects of the portfolio for the local medical community
- Review all promotional materials and activities, ensuring that these are backed up by the latest scientific data and that they are compliant with regulations and ethical standards
- Address requests for medical information coming from internal and external customers; Covers medical reps training
- Serve as the medical and scientific internal resource to internal customers and externally, to thought leaders, on our Company products, including our pipeline products; Medical lead must maintain core competency in the assigned therapeutic area through continuing study and exposure to the latest trends and management approaches
- Serve as contact medical person with global team on R&D initiatives planned for Indonesia
- Act as local signatory in Indonesia representing the Asean medical head

YOUR KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferably a trained healthcare practitioner or advanced scientific degree holder (PhD or PharmaD)
- With at least 3 years clinical experience in pharmaceuticals, related industry
- With at least 3 years leadership experience in driving medical strategy, scientific programs, other related initiatives
- Independent, self-driven, adaptable
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams
- Strategic thinking
- Good analytical skills and understanding of relevant trends and emerging developments
- Successful track record of driving tangible results
- Strong focus on outcomes, Solutions-oriented
- Effective presentation and communication skills
