Automation and Operations Technology Eng 

Objective:  

As an Automation & Operations Technology Engineer, you will be a key player in the implementation and support of PLC‑based control systems and automation solutions within our GxP manufacturing environment.

You will co‑create with a talented team of Site Engineers and Manufacturing IT professionals to safeguard reliable and compliant Operations Technology (OT), and to deliver innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, productivity, and drive our digital and automation strategy.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities:  

1. Technical Leadership: Act as a reference point for digital and automation solutions, addressing manufacturing challenges and improving operational performance.
2. Troubleshooting: Lead problem‑solving and root cause analysis efforts to implement effective and sustainable solutions.
3. Operational Excellence: Ensure production systems and devices are available and operating optimally by providing essential operational support.
4. Vendor Collaboration: Interface with vendors for discussions, inquiries, and updates to optimize our systems.
5. Project Implementation: Lead small to medium projects (<1M Euro) and participate in larger initiatives, contributing to our automation transformation process.
6. Data‑Driven Analysis: Gather and analyze system performance data to identify and implement process improvements.
7. Cybersecurity: Provide input for the development and review of policies related to our Cybersecurity Program, ensuring compliance and best practices.
8. Ensure the support and expertise required in Process Control Technology (PCT), automation, robotics, and digital project topics; operational technology; and information technology used across diverse operations to ensure reliability and efficiency within the regulatory framework of Good Manufacturing Practices and cybersecurity.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, Mechatronics, IT Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related IT or automation engineering field.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience with relevant manufacturing technologies.
• Several years of practical experience with relevant manufacturing technologies. Proficient in manufacturing process control systems, electrical systems, and knowledgeable in PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI programming.
• Strong problem‑solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to understand business value drivers and a passion for challenging the status quo and driving change.
• Highly motivated with the ability to build strong relationships across different teams and levels.
• Skilled at conveying complex technical information clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience supporting cybersecurity initiatives, including system hardening and configuration management.
