Quality Technician 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Quality Technician, are to:

 

  • Coordinate and maintain the site Quality Program, by conducting regular trainings and audits, provide solutions for quality issues in a timely and appropriate manner;
  • Maintain accurate records for quality and continuous improvement activities performed, leveraging internal systems;
  • Maintain and complete all compliance reporting obligations;
  • Develop operational knowledge and functional understanding of at least two key operational areas across the warehouse, plant and field;
  • Participate in DDS meetings and follow through on quality related issues. Support areas across the plant to drive the adoption of 5S and use focused improvement techniques to contribute to the improvement of processes and quality management program;
  • Develop best practices and share within the quality and compliance networks.

Required Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED;

  • Three years' experience in applicable area;
  • Valid Drivers License. In order to be eligible to drive a company car, your driving record must meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening;
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. (a bag of seed);
  • Ability to work days, nights, rotating shifts, weekends and overtime as business needs require.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to prioritize work schedule;
  • Demonstrates some ability to work independently;
  • Ability to support others in completing assigned tasks;
  • Follows policies and procedures.
