Testing Manager
POSITION PURPOSE:
Testing Manager is responsible for testing (Phenotyping) and generation of data on pre- commercial (Phase 1 to Phase 3) product pipeline of Vegetable R&D and crop level responsibility to initiate trials with support of Collaborative Product unit team. He/ she must ensure product testing for right PMT and geography. This job includes day-to-day operations of testing programme, guiding TRAs, ensuring safety and compliance related to job. Person on job must Partner with commercial squad team for success in the Veg R&D product portfolio. Key Deliverables includes Planning, execution and management of trials, crop level responsibility with support of Collaborative Breeding Enabling decision that drives pipeline advancement and placement, deliver our integrated product system commercial portfolio to address market needs with precise accurate data. Drive analytics and automation in testing (Phenotyping) through concept validation and pipeline implementation
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Executes overall testing (Phenotyping) in given geography, ensure proper allocation of resources for delivery of product pipeline, understand key business and financial parameters and their impact.
- Coordinate with Breeders/Collaborative breeding team (Product units)/ stakeholders, ensure planning & execution of all Pre- commercial (PCM-1, PCM-2 and PCM-3) hybrid testing trials following right scientific experimental designs both at site or off-site territories
- Crop level responsibility to execute trials with support of collaborative breeding team.
- Ensure precise high-level quality data collection using enterprise digital tools like Velocity, collect. Ensure to coordinate data quality check for clear interpretation of the results along with recommendations
- Bridge closely with the Breeders; commercial squad teams to ensure required products are being tested as per Bio-zone/ season/segment /Geography
- Guide and develop team through effective leadership, focusing on organizational goals
- Collaborate with different product units across regions and scout products as per market requirement, ensure testing (Phenotyping), product characterization and high quality data generation
- Ensure adaptation of new tools, technologies, testing protocols including new Innovation in testing
- Ensure continuous improvement in testing tasks by Seeking feedback from all internal and external stakeholders
- Performing all tasks and behaving in a manner compliant with and in support of all safety related company policies and practices, including completing all required Company training courses and attending safety activity. Government / External stakeholders liasoning

WHO YOU ARE:
- BS degree with 7 years/ MS degree in Agriculture/ allied fields with 4 years Agronomy/other agriculture related field experience / Ph.D. in Agriculture (Fresher eligible).
- Demonstrate ability to develop projects and analyze and interpret data
- Knowledge in market requirement on vegetable crops to be able to drive geography level decision making based on data
- Field Agronomy/breeding knowledge to be able to drive geography level decision making based on data.
- Knowledge of statistics, experimental designs, strong computer skills related to data analysis
- Ability to challenge status quo and to embrace change
- Ability to lead and influence key stakeholders through challenges and opportunities; facilitates solutions
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Develop strong relationships and network
- General Job requirements: 40% travel, 40 % field work, 20% computer work, 40 hrs./week
