JOB PURPOSE;
- Responsible for leading portfolio of brands for Malaysia (MY) and Indonesia (ID). The MM will support the country’s business objectives and implement ASIA’s Category & Brand Strategy through:
- Development and execution of Brand Plan for country (1 – 2 years horizon) aligned with Head of Marketing Ops (HOM Malaysia & Indonesia) and ASIA Category and Brand Strategy for respective demand segments.
- Motivates sales / customer marketing teams to achieve sales and profits through consumer and customer-driven innovative marketing strategies, including growing brand sales faster than the market and strengthening the brand market positions through strategic and sustainable brand building activities.
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for leading and managing assigned brands in Malaysia and Indonesia, including sales, P&I, margin development, and market share development, as well as managing new products / product launches.
- These brands are marketed across multiple channels, including pharmacies, mini-markets, supermarkets, clinics, hospitals, e-commerce and others. Requires a high level of complexity, multi-tasking and time management due to the different brands / different countries that this position oversees.
- Develop and execute Brand Plan for country (1 – 2 years horizon) aligned with ASIA Category and Brand Strategy. Optimize sales opportunities in the short and longer term, as well as maximise margins, market share, penetration, pricing, and portfolio management in line with strategic business objectives. Provides brand directions and work with Customer Marketing team in formulating brand activation including in-store sales drivers, digital and e-commerce activities, HCP activation plan to support sales team in their sales and distribution objectives.
- Prepare and ensure alignment of business cases and launch plans for Innovation pipeline with sales & customer marketing teams.
- Monitors brand’s market performance versus competition. Analyzes current marketing situations and opportunities. Formulates action plans based on market data and consumer insights. Identify and acts on market trends, customer needs and competitor activities. Proactively communicates with key customers.
- Be the point-person in Malaysia and Indonesia leading the yearly budget planning process for the brands in care, providing inputs on areas such as increasing cost-effectiveness of advertising and promotion, brand opportunities / NPD, market knowledge and competition, and improve sales and trade activities.
- Work with agencies and other external suppliers to develop and execute best-in-class marketing and communication campaigns with maximum impact in influencing consumer behaviors and beliefs. Work with market research team to conduct meaningful research so support business growth
- Develop and oversee HCP marketing plans and execution activities with country cross-functional team, including retail pharmacist activations, detailing aids, promotional materials, e-platforms, events, etc, leveraging on understanding of local insights and recommendation levers.
- Ensure efficient inventory control of the brands, via an accurate monthly rolling forecast and inventory tracking reports. This is to ensure that divisional inventory / FCA targets are met.
- Identify and align brands’ opportunities together with HOM, sales and ASIA team members. Develop and manage an effective interface between marketing, sales, regulatory affairs, and supply chain through project management across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure that Bayer Corporate Compliance policies and procedures are enforced within Bayer standards. Responsible for adherence to regulatory requirements and industry code of ethics.
- Ensure countries’ KPIs are met – net sales, EVI and market share
WHO YOU ARE;
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in business or related background
- 3-5 years of experience in sales and marketing field with a minimum of 2 years in brand management, preferably with exposure in OTC Industry; matrixed top tier companies
- Robust Consumer Activation experience: traditional media, digital/ social media, events, Influencer/KOL management (health care professional, celebrity, blogger, etc).
- Experience in Indonesia will be an advantage
