JOB MAIN PURPOSE:

 

  • Defining the Product Strategy and Roadmap: This position is the product Owner to spearhead the strategic management and growth of  the product. This role requires a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration to enhance patient access and product performance. He / She will play a pivotal role in ensuring successful commercialization and/or life-cycle management of the product in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
  • Collaborates with CFT in addressing market and patients’ needs: In this exciting role, he/she will be a key member of Product  Teams/Squads responsible for identifying goals, developing priorities every 90-day cycle and focused on executing agreed action items/tasks to achieve output and outcome that the team have envisioned to drive brand awareness, market share, and sales growth. He/she will closely collaborate with Head of Focused Brands & Market Access in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia for strategic directions.
  • Steer Resource allocation where it has the most impact on growth: This position will not only manage the allocated resource for the product to drive growth and continue competitiveness in the market; but be a proponent of safe-to-try decision-making based on results of investments and re-allocation of resources if needed.

 

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILTIES:

 

  1. Product Strategy Development: Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies for the product, ensuring alignment with overall Team goals.Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes to determine strategic direction and create actionable steps to leverage competitiveness.
  2. Market Insights: Be able to leverage the product Team and Customer-Facing Teams  to gather insights on addressing customer needs, being the preferred partner, and behaviors that impact the customers’ choices. Assess current market conditions and formulate actionable plans based on 90-day sprint plan with the product Team to capitalize on opportunities and address gaps or barriers
  3. Performance Evaluation and Communication: Monitor and evaluate product performance metrics, developing communication strategies that resonate with healthcare professionals and stakeholders. o Collaborate with the sales team and key opinion leaders to enhance product visibility and engagement within the medical community.
  4.  Budget Management and Forecasting: Ensure effective management of marketing budgets, achieving financial objectives while maintaining forecast accuracy . Propose alternative business models and initiatives that leverage market development opportunities.
  5. Promotional Strategy Implementation:Develop and oversee promotional campaigns and materials, both digital and traditional, ensuring alignment with the overall marketing strategy. Partner with the Market Access (MA) team to implement initiatives that enhance patient awareness and accessibility to the product.
  6. Sales Training and Support: Work closely with the ComEx to create training programs that equip the Customer-Facing teams with essential product knowledge and effective communication tools. Provide ongoing support to the sales team to ensure alignment with marketing strategies and objectives.
  7. Regulatory Compliance and Stakeholder Engagement: Ensure all marketing activities comply with local regulations and industry standards, staying updated on regulatory changes in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia

YOUR KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, business administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5  years of experience in product ownership or management within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector, preferably in ophthalmology.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret market data and drive strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and engaging diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in managing product initiatives and achieving business objectives.
  • Play the leadership role of visionary, architect, coach, and catalyst as situation demands.
