HSE Lead / Senior Specialist Occupational Safety (all genders) 

Do you want to actively shape occupational safety at a complex production site and drive sustainable HSE performance? In this key role, you will take responsibility for occupational safety at Supply Center Leverkusen. As a trusted advisor to site and EMEX leadership, you will further develop standards and strengthen prevention, safety leadership, and compliance in a regulated environment.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• You take ownership of the site-wide HSE framework and continuously develop occupational safety at Supply Center Leverkusen
• Ensuring full compliance with all requirements in line with occupational safety regulations, the Management Handbook, and internal standards is part of your responsibility
• You actively leverage the HSE pillar to implement and continuously improve the occupational safety management system
• Active participation in HSE boards and the structured steering of improvements based on PDCA principles will shape your daily work
• You lead risk assessments, audits, inspections, and incident investigations and act as the key interface to authorities and internal networks
• Functional leadership of occupational safety and health management employees, including their development, is part of your role
• You coach your team and foster a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement
• Embedding HSE principles into transformation initiatives and representing the site in global communities completes your scope of responsibility

WHO YOU ARE

• You hold a university degree in Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline
• Certification as an occupational safety specialist in accordance with German regulations is essential
• You bring several years of professional experience in occupational safety, ideally in an industrial or highly regulated environment
• Strong knowledge of occupational safety regulations as well as HSE, compliance, and quality requirements sets you apart
• Experience with risk assessments, audits, inspections, and areas such as explosion protection and fire protection is part of your profile
• You bring leadership experience and approach challenges in a pragmatic and solution-oriented way
• Strong team spirit and excellent stakeholder management skills across all levels define the way you work
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken, complete your profile
