Inhouse Consultant - Supply Chain & Manufacturing Strategies (m/f/d)

Are you interested in joining us as an Inhouse Consultant (m/f/d) in Supply Chain & Manufacturing Strategies? Our dedicated Product Supply (PS) team specializes in the optimization of the entire value chain – from designing our supplier relationships to developing the industry strategy and manufacturing footprint design to improving customer-oriented sales processes with a strong focus on digitalization. Product Supply at Bayer includes all activities around planning, manufacturing, distribution and supply chain management to ensure product delivery in the right quantity and quality, and at the right time.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work as a member of a S&BC consulting project team on strategy, portfolio, production network, processes or organizational topics
- Become an expert in optimizing production and distribution networks, inventory and investment management or procurement performance
- Develop and implement functional strategies
- Drive lean and agile operations and generate operational efficiencies
- Manage your own subprojects and implement developed concepts jointly with client stakeholders
- Build up and apply core consulting skills such as analytical and strategic thinking, conducting client interviews, running workshops and developing convincing communication
WHO YOU ARE
- Graduated with distinction from university (master) in natural science, engineering, economics, psychology or a related field
- First experience in management consulting and/or corporate experience related to life science industry
- Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills
- Ability to engage with senior client stakeholders
- Empathic communication & presentation skills, including the ability to foster implementation
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (taking pandemic status into account)
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; German or further languages are of advantage
