Medical Affairs Manager (m/f/d)
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a member of the cross-functional work team for Bayer CH brands, providing medical and scientific expertise in assessing and interpreting efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics, clinical studies, and data, as well as additional external medical and scientific information
- Maintain the ability to translate scientific knowledge to support commercialization activities such as advertising claims substantiation and defense, as well as new product opportunities
- Proactively influence non-scientific decision-makers regarding business opportunities and decisions where there is a medical or clinical context
- Contribute to the development of strategies for thought leader identification, management, and engagement in line with category and brand objectives
- Lead Scientific Advisory Boards
- Utilize strategic planning, guidance, and implementation of medical programs, such as clinical studies and continuing medical education through thought leader networks
- Contribute to the development of scientific promotional material, as well as review and approval processes
- Ensure the flow of relevant publications
- Ensure compliance of healthcare-provider-related materials, events, and activities
- Conduct medical information activities concerning products
- Provide medical input as needed for Regulatory Affairs
WHO YOU ARE
- Degree in Human Medicine (MD), Pharmacy, or Life Sciences
- Several years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (previous work in Medical Affairs and/or clinical research and development), preferably in Consumer Health
- Knowledge of the local consumer health market
- Understanding of the local regulatory environment
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Creative and innovative mindset
- Strong, collaborative, and flexible team player
- Proactive approach in your area of responsibility to create value for Bayer’s customers and consumers
- Business acumen and strategic thinking
- Experience working with the brand team and other cross-functional business partners
- Ability to interact collaboratively and influence colleagues at all levels within Bayer
- Good understanding of preclinical and clinical trial design elements, including statistical considerations, operations, and interpretation of these activities, as well as regulatory requirements for consumer health products
- Ability to interpret and assimilate scientific data
- Previous experience in developing key opinion leader engagement strategies
