Lab Process Generalist

What You Will Do

 

The Lab Process Generalist empowers and supports all onsite lab process operations by leveraging inputs from internal and external resources. This role ensures that lab personnel have a clear understanding of testing goals, materials, standards, and objectives needed to effectively meet the needs of both upstream and downstream customers, fostering a culture of collaborative success.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Set and uphold quality and testing standards to ensure consistent and reliable data.
  • Actively engage with support teams and labs to facilitate feedback, compliance, and internal testing schedules for the labs.
  • Collaborate with the End 2 End mission team and lab personnel to address testing challenges.
  • Take ownership of adapting to business changes and embrace new challenges while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards.
  • Provide technical support for lab processes and assist in new process implementations and validations.
  • Mentor and coach Lab Analysts on operations and quality standards, fostering a culture of growth and sharing knowledge on operations and quality standards.
  • Co-create valuable insights by developing and sharing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on visual boards, enhancing teamwork and product quality for an exceptional customer experience.
  • Prioritize and manage projects to align with business needs and partner goals, ensuring timely achievement of highest impact outcomes.
  • Foster a Production System culture that encourages team members to improve quality, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Take ownership of additional responsibilities as needed to support business goals.  

 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a preferred discipline: Biology, Chemistry, Patholody, Engineering, Agriculture, Supply Chain, or a related field with 4 years of relevant experience or High School Diploma and 7 years of experience in a laboratory or quality testing environment.
  • Ability to critically think about the business.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Knowledge of process improvement tools/systems such as Six Sigma, LEAN, one PSS, etc.
  • Experience using automated systems and LMS systems.
  • Demonstration of courage, candor, and initiative in past assignments.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between  $90,400.00 - $135,600.00 per year. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
