JOB MAIN PURPOSE

 

  • Supports the Glyphosate E2E Team and country Glyphosate Partner’s teams and farmers by providing expert agronomic guidance and crop solutions to enhance yields and farm profitability in general but with special focus on Over-The- Top application of Glyphosate in GM crops (ie Corn).
  • Collaborates with country Glyphosate Partner’s sales personnel to engage dealers and farmers. Conducts field plots for product testing and comparison.
  • Oversees inquiries and claims related to product in general and also in particular OTT Technology performance.
  • Provides technical support on product, technology and application techniques.
  • Conducts training and educational sessions on helping stakeholders to understand Glyphosate product usage, stewardship in general with special emphasis in OTT and Genetically Modified (GM) Crop technology.
  • Promotes the use of digital tools for data analysis and insights sharing.
  • Communicate effectively through various channels (social media, email, etc.) to deliver timely information to internal and external stakeholders.

 

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Gain and align understanding of (1) customer needs and insights and (2) the business environment (key drivers and assumptions) to co-design, co-develop, and co-deploy product and solution ideation with Roundup internal team and Roundup Partner’s Sales/Marketing &Technical personnel.
  • Execute an aligned field and concept testing network primarily in Over-the-top (OTT) Corn and other crops as a secondary touchpoint. Geography, and customer segments to deliver quality data supporting new product introduction, positioning/re-positioning, and tailored solution launches.
  • Provide technical and educational training and support to understand the OTT and GM technology and to build capability of the internal and external stakeholders (Field personnel, Channel network & Farmers) so they can position Glyphosate correctly on GM Corn seeds technology. Give Tailored recommendations to maximize Farmer ROI and value and accelerate the adoption of Roundup Ready OTT technology.
  • Collaborate with relevant Glyphosate E2E Team and External Stakeholders to deliver and exceed business objectives through strong Glyphosate market development in particular on OTT Technology deployment & GM Knowledge transfer as primary focus, crop agronomy and stewardship as secondary focus. Technical capability development of field personnel and support for marketing communications for translating Glyphosate technical advantages to language easy to understand for end users.
  • Internally, work closely with Dekalb Portfolio, Dekalb Market Development and Breeding within the geography to align and optimize the field-testing network and provide insights on Roundup Ready OTT performance on Dekalb Corn Seeds. Externally, work with country Partners to optimize Roundup OTT performance in other GM Corn Seeds
  • Ensure execution of field-testing plans to generate datasets that determine and demonstrate systems value and agronomic fit of germplasm, traits, chemistry.
  • Develop and deliver the Market Development business plan by aligning with Glyphosate E2E Team and country Partner’s Team Sales on Roundup positioning, technical training, field demonstrations, and dealer/farmer support required to achieve commercial objectives.
  • Provide local agronomic support and training for Sales/Marketing teams and channel partners across products to ensure confident selling of seed, traits, Crop Protection, and Biologics solutions.
  • Build external networks with academe, industry, consultants, and extension personnel to position Glyphosate E2E Team as technical experts in GM seeds, traits, and Crop Protection.

 

YOUR KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • BSc degree (or equivalent) in Agriculture or related discipline with 5-7+ years’ experience, with field research and/or agronomy background an advantage
  • Broad understanding of GM seed technology (Genetics + Glyphosate Over-the-top application) and general agronomic knowledge of agricultural production.
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration and relationship building. Ability to set direction, hold accountability, and work with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong business and technical acumen to anticipate needs and drive actions that support business strategies and results.
  • Problem-solving capability; able to manage and resolve a variety of issues.
  • Change agility; embraces opportunities to initiate and support change.
  • Self-motivated with strong social, communication, and organizational skills.
