Commercial Lead South Italy (m/f/d)
Bayer Crop Science s.r.l. is looking for a brilliant and experienced Commercial Lead.
He/she will drive customer success and business growth through strategic decision-making. The role leads cross-functional collaboration, fosters an innovative and accountable culture, coaches a high-performance team to continue growing and ensures delivery of strong results across revenue, profitability, cash flow and operational efficiency.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage target distribution to respective CFS, ensure alignment with market dynamics and organizational priorities (including Sales, profit, Cash)
- Oversee / enable dynamic resource allocation, ensuring that teams are adequately equipped to achieve their outcomes and deliver value to customers while driving efficiency gains and maximizing financial outcomes
- Drive a performance culture within the commercial team defined by accountability, empowerment, courage and a growth mindset
- Identifying use cases for Artificial Intelligence and increasing adoption within the commercial team to improve customer experience and business outcomes
- Drive talent development within and across CFS, focusing on entrepreneurial mindset and fostering a culture of continuous learning and peer accountability
- Coaching relevant Customer Facing Squads to ensure smooth collaboration with other Squads (CFS and USS) in line with DSO principles
- Participate as a member of the Commercial Committee, contributing to strategic decision-making and aligning CFS objectives with broader organizational goals
- Foster and support CFS team members growth through coaching, developmental and peer feedback, while driving demand-based skill and capacity planning
WHO YOU ARE:
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agronomy, marketing, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Sales or Marketing at country level
- Knowledge of the Italian market, its dynamics and regulations is mandatory
- Track record of leading people (directly / indirectly) in an operational capacity and managing important customers / key accounts
- Previous accountability for sales (and possibility profitability) targets with responsibility to execute
- Proven track record of success in agricultural sales or business development roles
- Pro-actively asks for and gives (peer and team) feedback and drives an open feedback culture
- Strong VACC leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
- Effective communication skills and negotiation abilities with a farmer-centric approach
- Strategic thinking with a results-driven mindset and passion for innovation.
- Good knowledge of English and Italian mother tongue
- Residence or domicile in Central/Southern Italy preferred, with full willingness to travel across the entire territory

The initial annual gross compensation for this role is not below 89.300,00 EUR
Any upward adjustments may be made in the presence of objective circumstances, such as experience, specific qualifications, and/or specific areas of responsibility, and in any case based on gender-neutral criteria.
This position will also provide for a variable remuneration, awarded in accordance with the achievement of objectives and based on performance and in any case in compliance with objective and gender-neutral criteria.
