Patient Access Associate 

 

The Patient Access Associate has a direct role in the implementation and ongoing oversight of patient support programs. Working closely with the Patient Support Specialist/Manager, this includes assisting in the daily operation of PSPs and patient access initiatives and ensuring that all Standard Operating Procedures are followed and properly documented.
 

Bayer is committed to a flexible hybrid working environment. This is a 14-month contract position based out of Mississauga, Ontario.

 

What you will do:

  • Oversight and Governance - Responsible for creating and maintaining process flow and checklists to ensure all program documentation and operations comply with Bayer’s governance and SOPs under the direction of the PSP specialist/ Manager/ Director. The program checklist should always up to date and readily available (audit ready). These include but are not limited to:
    • Process / procedures (SOP and guidelines)
    • Maintaining trackers (PO/contract, Mont Blanc)
    • Ensuring consistent application of language / updates (materials, contract etc.)
    • Execution and maintenance of checklists: materials, communication channel, launch/ termination checklists
  • PSP’s – Working with the PSP specialist/ Manager, this position will provide tactical support on development, alignment, improvement and execution/launch/re-launch of PSP’s. Responsible for management of vendor relations with patient support program providers, including ensuring that all compliance and contractual obligations are met through vendor relation management, and reconciliation of monthly invoices and budgets.
  • Insights/Analytics –Provides organizational support for the Patient Support team to ensure consistency within brand reporting and validation of data. Receives and reviews reports for all programs and assesses for accuracy and insights. Generates additional reports as needed. Brand team involvement – Collaborates with Patient Support Specialist/ Manager in their work with cross-functional brand teams and in yearly brand planning.
  • Strategic Planning – Supports the Head, PSP in developing review plan to ensure all PSPs remain compliant with the existing SOPs and guidelines. This may also include developing plans for external vendor audits and / or various internal system audits.

 

Who you are:

  • University Level Education – Minimum – BA or BSc
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 1 year within the pharmaceutical industry –sales/marketing
  • PSP and Trade experience an asset but not required
  • Ability to foster innovation
  • Ability to understand and apply the oversight and governance requirements in operating patient support programs
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical industry and Canadian Healthcare environment
  • Project management experience an asset
  • Dynamic team player – ability to work cross functionally and with diverse perspectives
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong interpersonal skills – works well both in a team setting and independently
  • Good communication skills – ability to present to wide audience
