Maintenance Engineer |
|||||
Main Purpose
The Maintenance Engineer has oversight for all maintenance activities supporting the site facility, Seed Washing & Processing at Khon Kaen site. The role is responsible for the safe and reliable execution of maintenance activities in collaboration with site leadership, including preventive maintenance, day-to-day operational maintenance, project management, engineering, and other maintenance support as required.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Develop preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans based on asset criticality, operating needs, equipment condition, failure history, and risk.
- Plan daily work, shutdowns, and backlog; coordinate resources with Operations and relevant functions to meet safety, quality, reliability, and production requirements.
- Use SAP PM as the system of record for notifications, work orders, planning, confirmations, technical closure, equipment history, downtime, failure data, and cost.
- Maintain accurate SAP master data for functional locations, equipment, BOMs, task lists, measuring points, and maintenance plans.
- Use SAP PM within delegated authority to check stock, reserve materials, initiate purchase requisitions, and follow up material and service transactions.
- Analyze SAP PM/MM and operational data to improve PM compliance, backlog, reliability trends, spare-parts availability, and maintenance cost.
- Independently investigate equipment and process issues through structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis; implement actions to eliminate recurring failures.
- Partner with Operations, Seed Processing, and Manufacturing Excellence to identify and implement equipment, process, capacity, safety, and efficiency improvements.
- Identify improvement opportunities using equipment performance, SAP data, operator feedback, and relevant external technology developments.
- Evaluate condition monitoring, mobile maintenance, predictive analytics, workflow automation, and energy-efficiency solutions, and coordinate approved site-level pilots.
- Prepare technical and financial business cases, verify operational and financial benefits, document lessons learned, and recommend standardization of successful solutions.
- Maintain procedures, technical standards, and work instructions; ensure compliance with HSE, ISO, OH&S, audit, and applicable site requirements.
- Define critical spare-parts requirements and recommend inventory, obsolescence, and asset-lifecycle strategies based on operational risk and lifecycle cost.
- Coordinate vendors and contractors; monitor expenditure against approved budgets and ensure safe execution, service quality, schedule, and cost performance.
- Lead assigned engineering projects from scope and design through installation, commissioning, handover, technical documentation, and SAP data readiness.
- Maintain KPI dashboards and reports, provide technical guidance and training, and complete assigned audit, compliance, and risk actions on time.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant maintenance, engineering or manufacturing experience.
- Demonstrated experience delivering maintenance, facility or engineering projects.
- Working proficiency in SAP PM and practical knowledge of SAP MM maintenance transactions.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, reliability, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Technical experience in equipment installation, commissioning and start-up.
- Knowledge of HSE, ISO and Management of Change requirements.
- Ability to prepare business cases and quantify safety, reliability, productivity and cost benefits.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and data analysis; Power BI is an advantage.
- Effective English communication and ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
