Main Purpose

 

  • Support and execution of Safety & Health programs and initiatives.             
  • Support and performing audits ensuring fulfillment of local legal Compliance in HSE        
  • Be responsible for Risk Analysis in HSE for the offices in South Cone             
  • Responsible for developing new solutions to identify and minimize potential threats or risks;
  • Self motivated able to work in a remote env where colleagues and leader are out of Argentina

 

Your mission Will be to

 

  • Development and implementation of HSE procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety local and corporate standards within the administrative site, identifying potential risk analysis for all field activities and assuring License to Operate.
  • Properly assure implementation of corrective and preventive actions derived from deviations from stakeholders’ requirements, audits, or assessments, and assign required human and financial resources to close gaps and meet legal and corporate requirements for operations.
  • Attend and support of audits, compliance, and corporate programs.
  • Site technical legal responsibility for HSE in face of Regulatory Authorities.
  • Coordinate and lead training in HSE for administrative, technical, and supplier personnel.
  • Be responsible for verification and investigation of accidents and incidents and manage them on Intelex Platform.
  • Responsible for risk management and be a focal point in this topic for South Cone.
  • Lead and monitoring of tasks of the Medical Service and Health Plan.
  • Conduct and/or participate in HSE inspections and audits to ensure compliance with Bayer’s standards and applicable legal requirements.
  • Implementation of the Green Office Program and initiatives.
  • Create and maintain effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders about HSE initiatives, standards, regulations, significant incidents management, and lead upward and downward conversations to propose solutions and actions focused on continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring and regular updating of the Legal Matrix and Business Risk.
  • Conduct and further influence local teams to properly manage incidents’ root causes through consistent investigation of incidents and near misses and their respective action plans implementation, aligned with hierarchies of control.
  • Responsible for initial and continuous training for HSE team members.
  • Elaborate, review, and assure implementation of HSE-related documents for administrative and commercial operations within the HSE Management system framework, ensuring proper alignment to applicable and corporate integrated HSE standards.
  • Manage HSE local budget in a cost-effective way, assuring proper distribution of available resources and timely reporting of expenditures, bridges, and forecasts to respective LTs. Coordination and implementation of the Road Safety program in Argentina.
  • Be HSE support for Deposit, Transports, Distributors and Tollers Argentina.

  • University Degree: Must hold a qualifying bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety as recognized by Argentine legislation
  • Professional Registration: Must be registered in the Professional Registry of Occupational Health and Safety, as established by Law 19.587 and its regulatory decree.
  • HSE experience in production plants or office environments
  • Continuous Training: Participation in ongoing training and updates on occupational health and safety topics.
  • Desirable Postgraduate studies related to Occ Health, Safety and Environment
  • Intermediate informatics (Word, Excel, P. Point, Data); PowerBI desirable
  • Intermediate-Advance English (participation in calls in necessary)
  • Teamwork competence
  • Communication and influence skills; Fast and effective decision making
  • Problem-solving ability; Analytical skills
  • Drive license required to collaborate in CESVI trainings
  • Ability to work with a remote leadership and with many remote colleagues
  • Availability to travel approximately once per month within Argentina and twice per year internationally
