What You Will Do
The Environmental Engineer III focuses on developing solutions to environmental challenges related to engineering projects. This role involves assessing environmental impact, ensuring compliance with regulations, and implementing sustainable practices. Conducts studies, designs systems for waste management and pollution control, and collaborates with stakeholders to promote environmental stewardship while supporting project goals.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide environmental engineering and regulatory support for manufacturing operations, including support for new processes, process modifications, and plant experiments.
- Maintain an understanding of plant operations, attend project reviews and review management of changes for assigned manufacturing area to determine the environmental impact with limited support.
- Read and interpret regulations to communicate and assist in applying those requirements to plant operations.
- Accurately prepare permit applications with limited support.
- Complete accurate engineering calculations to support environmental emissions reporting and for permit applications.
- Assist in training plant employees to comply with regulations and corporate environmental guidelines.
- Capable of independently performing engineering design and calculation assignments with only general guidelines for results expected.
- Develops functional expertise and shares with the rest of the team.
- Supports resolution of non-compliance situations.
- Supports audits of site environmental programs.
- Leads small teams, customers, and partners including the Site Leadership Team, technical professionals on-site, global QHSE professionals and management, as well as locals outside of regulatory agencies.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS Degree with 4 years of progressive engineering experience OR MS with 0-2 years of progressive engineering experience.
This posting will expire on May 13, 2026.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $71,120-106,680 per year. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
