Digital Operational Excellence Senior Specialist
In this dynamic role, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the end-to-end Operational Excellence Program, with co-ownership of the Product Supply System (PSS) both tactically and strategically. Your mission is to implement and optimize innovative lean tools within Product Supply Consumer Health at the Myerstown site, driving operational efficiencies and best practices to ensure seamless operations and adherence to industry regulations. You will focus on teaching, coaching, and mentoring Core Operations and Support groups, aligning with PSS Advancement Pillars to drive business results through continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborating closely with Operations, Engineering, Facilities and HSE, Supply Chain, Manufacturing IT, and Quality functions, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement and value creation, embracing Dynamic Shared Ownership (DSO) principles and the VACC approach to leadership.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Be an ambassador and champion of Operational Excellence (OE) for the site;

Lead the development of in-house OE expertise and capabilities, including training and coaching;

Coach process owners in developing and enhancing their PSS/lean capabilities;

Drive the adoption of standardization tools to optimize business performance, focusing on innovation, cost efficiency, and digitalization;

Lead OE deployment efforts included in PSS and other global initiatives;

Provide expert training and technical support to production teams on digital and lean tools;
-
Coordinate efforts to eliminate losses, reduce costs, and maximize throughput;
-
Lead cross-functional continuous improvement and digital projects;
-
Ensure new equipment learning curves are minimized and operational standards are integrated;

Responsible for OE KPIs for the site;

Support the development of digital tools associated with OE/PSS initiatives.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
-
BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, or related field with a minimum of 6 years of experience in OTC, Pharmaceutical, or CPG industry, or a master’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience

Demonstrated VACC (Visionary, Architect, Catalys, Coach) skills in leading teams and multi-functional collaboration
-
Proficiency in continuous improvement tools and methodologies
-
Experience in digital transformation initiatives and relevant technologies
-
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI) and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, JavaScript)
-
Understanding of database management systems and cloud storage platforms
-
Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex concepts
-
Practical operational experience in a production environment
-
High degree of customer sensitivity and business acumen
-
Outstanding communication and leadership skills
-
Experience contributing to major change programs in large organizations
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Change Management experience or PROSCI Practitioner;
-
Deep knowledge and practical experience in Integrated Work System (IWS).
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $84,880.00 - $127,320.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
