YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary Activities:
- Scientific Exchange and Information Dissemination:
- The MSL engages with KOLs as a scientific peer to proactively and reactively share, clarify, and discuss scientific data, study protocols, congress abstracts, and published literature. Proactive discussions are on-label, while reactive responses to unsolicited off-label inquiries are handled in accordance with local regulations
- Medical Societies and Advisory Boards:
- The MSL responds to medical and scientific inquiries from Medical Societies related to Bayer products and supports the organization and participation in advisory boards
- Congress and Convention Engagement:
- The MSL participates in congresses and conventions to network with KOLs, establish new relationships, and gather scientific and competitive insights
- Scientific Education Activities:
- The MSL plans and coordinates scientific training and educational sessions with KOLs within the relevant therapeutic area or product
- Reporting and Activity Tracking:
- The MSL prepares timely reports summarizing field insights, event outcomes, and activity performance against agreed objectives
- Investigator-Initiated Research (IIR):
- The MSL serves as a key contact for investigators, supporting IIR idea collection and facilitating study setup, progress communication, and completion in collaboration with appropriate Bayer stakeholders
- KOL Strategy and Engagement Planning:
- In alignment with the Medical Affairs plan, the MSL supports KOL identification, profiling, segmentation, and engagement planning, contributing to internal understanding of KOL expertise and influence
- Scientific Exchange and Information Dissemination:
- Secondary Activities:
- Market Access Support:
- The MSL provides scientific support to Medical Advisors and Market Access teams, including assistance with presentations to hospital formularies and reimbursement decision-makers as needed
- Internal Scientific Support:
- The MSL acts as an internal scientific resource, supporting training initiatives and responding to medical and scientific inquiries from Sales Representatives in coordination with Medical Advisors
- Additional IIR Support:
- The MSL provides ad hoc support to local Clinical Operations and Medical Advisors for IIR tracking and coordination
- Market Access Support:
WHO YOU ARE:
- University degree or above (Masters Degree or above desirable)
- Experience in an MA/ MSL role for at least 2 years or more
- 2 years scientific expertise within a specialized TA (Cardiovascular, Diabetes, Nephrology preferred)
- Comfort with numbers and ability to extract insights from data
- Academic / scientific writing experience either through educational background and / or job experience
- Fluency in Japanese and business level English is preferred but not mandatory
