What You Will Do

 

Provides specialized knowledge and technical support in quality assurance and control processes within the organization. This position involves analyzing quality data, developing best practices, and advising teams on compliance with industry standards and regulations. Quality Expertise collaborates with various departments to implement quality improvement initiatives, conduct training sessions, and ensure that all products and processes align with established quality benchmarks.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensures compliance with Bayer and regulatory requirements related to plant and process safety.
  • Provide technical expertise for site management and other US/regional production sites.
  • This position supports the Integrated Management System.
  • Support the incident investigation process related to HSE and continuous improvement of HSE concepts in the Luling.
  • Provides support to ensure investigations identify proper root causes and develop effective corrective actions which are properly tracked in the Integrated Management System.
  • Defines and provides strategic direction for critical and complex regulatory requirements related to plant and process safety to site leadership.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in multiple areas of plant and process safety (e.g. PSM, RMP, PHA, SIL systems, etc.) as well as generally accepted good engineering practices (RAGAGEP) and process safety related government and industry standards (i.e. OSHA, NFPA, ASME, EPA, and API) and chemical process safety.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of a 4 year degree in engineering, quality, communications, logistics, science, or equivalent relevant field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing experience (Production, Engineering, Logistics, Maintenance, QA/QC, etc.)
  • Experience working with complex systems (SAP, RC14001, ISO, RAGAGEP, etc.)
  • The ability to identify needs and create/execute strategies to improve HSE Management Systems compliance and performance.
  • Have command of relevant regulations and company expectations and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to become an auditor/lead auditor.
  • Ability to communicate and influence individuals and organizations.
  • Ability to lead and direct people without solid reporting lines.
  • Broad knowledge of QHSE disciplines.
  • Good computer skills: SAP, MS Office, SharePoint, database, etc

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • A preferred candidate will have rotated through more than one department.
  • Thorough understanding of the interaction of the various departments at the Luling Site

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $71,120-$106,680 per year. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
