EMEA Corn Seed Production & Pipeline Delivery Lead (All genders)

Lead regional corn research and pre-commercial seed production team for Europe/Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Corn Breeding pipelines. Directly enabling 800 m€/year business and multi[1]billion NPV pipelines by securing corn breeding material production across the entire region. Lead the team across multiple breeding sites in Europe and Africa to enable operational excellence and on time and in full delivery of the highest quality seed and traits to ensure the success of critical high value breeding pipelines. Driving innovation, the anticipation of future needs towards Precision Breeding and driving efficiency and agility in the teams will be key expectations of the role.

Key responsibilities :

• Lead annual seed production and delivery program across Corn seed & traits in EMEA region, ensuring alignment with global and regional commercial and functional goals to ensure timely delivery of new products for testing and deployment to support EMEA Corn Business
• Lead the development and implementation of Corn seed production and delivery strategy including multiple production sites in France, Italy, Hungary and South Africa in alignment to the EMEA corn product teams and commercial outcomes for >20 countries in the region
• Ensure appropriate planning and Logistics support through alignment with global seed production centers for demand, supply and operations related to our pipelines, while optimizing  the resources and execution timelines
• Lead process standardization & data quality, adoption of best practices and implementation of process improvement measures across seed preparation activities
• Develop and implement people, equipment and facility strategies enabling continuous improvement across the organization
• Act as the primary point of contact/interface for the Corn seed production Operations Team to Trait and Seed Innovation capability center.
• Lead Global Breeding initiatives to deliver precision breeding objectives related to seed production and pipeline delivery
• Budget accountability for OPEX plans and CAPEX projects in area of responsibility on time and quality enabling growth plans and innovation
• Lead a function/team of 21 members with responsibility to recruit diverse, high potential personnel & enable people development to maximize their potential as people and a team
• Represent Breeding seed production across regional EMEA operation units as needed
• Drive QHSE in area of responsibilities to continuously improve safe, efficient & sustainable operations delivering high quality output, ensure compliant operations and maintain LTO

Your profile :

• PhD or MS degree w/ 5+ years of crop seed and trait production (research seed production, processing, seed production research, product supply).​
• Strong leadership capacity with proven skills in building a high performing team culture and collaboration
• Proven leadership transforming and enabling operational delivery and excellence
• Proven ability to drive strategy as member of a functional Leadership team and represent own team in SPD function LT and projects.​
• Effective verbal communication skills, essential to be fluent in English
