Buyer II 

BUYER II – O’HARA, PA

PURPOSE

This experienced buyer position is responsible for the coordination of schedules to meet customer requirements.  This position is only assigned to a site procurement organization.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilize SAP to release Purchase Orders for all production and service raw materials;
• Identify and communicate system issues related to master data;
• Request expedites and de expedites with suppliers for material shortages or overstocks;
• Manage system alerts for material stocking level issues;
• Interact internally with Materials Management team to communicate issues and concerns related to role;
• Review and disposition materials requested by internal customers;
• Maintain SAP procurement parameters for assigned area of responsibility;
• Prepare and issue reports related to supply activities and supplier delivery performance.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2  years of relevant work experience, preferably in materials, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain;
• Demonstrated presentation, training, and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to influence other members of the organization to help achieve goals and increase performance;
• Ability to build relationships and partnerships within the organization;
• Ability to work on projects of low complexity with direction;
• Demonstrated problem solving abilities;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools;
• Ability to quickly learn new IT systems and tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BS degree.
