Regional Senior PV Officer
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Regional Senior PV Officer position is a vital part of our PV Regional Center, dedicated to ensuring patient safety by adhering to all PV Quality System Documents (QSDs) and meeting both local and international regulatory requirements. Your primary role will be to uphold Bayer Pharmacovigilance (PV) standards through expertise in case management and PV process management activities. This includes proficiency in digital tools and data handling, as well as supporting the creation of digital tools using Power BI and Power App environments. You will be operating within the EMEA region, contributing significantly to the safety of our products and patients.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the PV Regional Center Manager in overseeing activities and tasks managed by external service suppliers, acting as the primary liaison between Bayer and vendors;
- Coordinate operational activities and workload distribution among the team and external service suppliers;
- Work in small sub-teams on defined topics in case management/process management in a lean and agile manner;
- Serve as functional support for source document handling during absences of Local PV teams;
- Develop digital tools using Power BI and Power Apps, ensuring maintenance and usability improvements;
- Execute PV case management tasks, including case receipt, follow-up, translation coordination, and reconciliation;
- Oversee PV process management, improving processes and compliance management, including QSD management and CAPA management;
- Prepare for inspections and audits in collaboration with local PV teams and global inspection management;
- Mentor junior team members in day-to-day operational activities.
WHO YOU ARE:
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
- A scientific degree related to the area, with 3-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in Pharmacovigilance;
- Experience in leading functional teams in an international and multi-country setting;
- Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal;
- Strong team working abilities and the capacity to work under tight timelines;
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to find solutions in a complex environment;
- Independent problem-solving skills and the ability to propose process improvements;
- Knowledge of data management concepts and systems, including Power BI and Power Apps;
- Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint environment and its integration with Power BI and Power Apps;
- Core Bayer competencies relevant for the position: managing complexity, planning, and aligning, driving results, and instilling trust.
