The Commercial Sales Controller at Bayer Australia plays a pivotal role in driving business value through expert financial and analytical guidance. This position is integral to the decision-making processes of the Sales team and the broader commercial team, ensuring that strategies are aligned with both Bayer's objectives and customer needs.
The Controller will contribute to the integrated business planning process by delivering accurate sales forecasting and financial insights, while also supporting various functions such as Finance, Net Revenue Management, and Category teams in developing effective trade strategies.

- Contribute Sales forecasting and financial inputs tor the integrated business planning process
- Support Finance, Net Revenue Management, Category and ultimately sales to develop trade strategy.
- Drive internal control and operating efficiency of the business promotional program and trade spend.
- Oversight of monthly, quarterly and full year sales performance measurement and reporting
- Help develop sound business strategies to maximise gross and net margin
- Drive ROI analysis for all key initiatives – maximisation of investment, share learnings.
- Strive for continuous investment maximisation and process improvement
- Challenge all internal stakeholders to maximise ROI
- Develop tools to support cross functional teams with decision making and help improve internal processes.
Does this sound like you?
- 7-10 years’ experience working closely with Sales, Category and/or Marketing in a commercial capacity
- Degree in Commerce/Accounting/CPA
- 5 years’ experience in FMCG
- Advanced Excel and Strong PowerPoint skills
- IRI, Quantium experience advantageous. Power BI experience essential
- Administrator level competence of Sales spend tools
- Strong analytical ability, data analysis and reporting skills
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong planning, organization, delegation and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent commercial Acumen to understand business goals and generate solutions for positive outcomes
- High attention to detail with an ability to priortise tasks and manage time effectively
- Strong EQ highly regarded
