Where do you want to go?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Engagement Partner (CEP) – Ophthalmology to join the Bayer Pharmaceuticals team in New South Wales. This role focuses on promoting innovative ophthalmology solutions that make a meaningful difference to patient outcomes.
As a CEP, you will be empowered to drive strategic outcomes across your territory, engaging collaboratively with ophthalmologists, optometrists, hospital stakeholders and other healthcare professionals. You will represent Bayer locally, building trusted partnerships, understanding patient journeys, and translating scientific value into meaningful clinical conversations.

The CEP brings the outside in working closely with healthcare professionals to contribute to national strategy development and identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes earlier and more effectively.
- Plan and optimise field activities using 90-day planning aligned to strategic objectives
- Operate to the highest ethical, legal and compliance standards, aligned with company values
- Develop a deep understanding of ophthalmology patient pathways, disease state management and treatment landscapes
- Build and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with ophthalmologists, optometrists and key stakeholders
- Adapt quickly to changing market dynamics, customer feedback and emerging clinical data
- Collaborate cross-functionally to promote knowledge-sharing and problem solving
- Leverage insights, data and analytics to inform decisions and enhance customer engagement
- Utilise digital tools and omnichannel approaches to enhance impact, productivity and customer experience
- Gather insights and feedback to support squad outcomes, continuous improvement and customer-centricity
Does this sound like you?
- Previous pharmaceutical, medical device, OTC or healthcare sales experience
- Experience or strong interest in Ophthalmology or related specialty areas (highly desirable)
- Strong business acumen with a focus on customer experience excellence
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and communication skills
- Demonstrated understanding of patient journeys and treatment ecosystems
- Experience working in agile environments and/or 90-day planning cycles (desirable)
- Highly proactive, self-motivated and accountable
- Comfortable with regular travel across NSW, including regional and occasional interstate travel
- Sound understanding of Medicines Australia Code of Conduct and compliance requirements
- A genuine commitment to improving patient outcomes
