Where do you want to go?
Are you passionate about advancing agricultural science and making a difference in crop protection? We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to support the commercial stewardship of our innovative insect-protected cotton traits. This is a unique opportunity to be a pivotal member of a dynamic research team focused on the successful introduction and stewardship of future insect-protected cotton traits.

Do something that moves you:
- Conduct meticulous laboratory experiments and product development in collaboration with the TD Lead, Insect Traits scientist, and Regulatory team.
- Maintain insect strains and existing colonies, establish new colonies, and assist in developing and implementing experimental protocols.
- Plan, coordinate, control, and execute appropriate lab experiments on pipeline and current products, both independently and in collaboration with contract research organizations.
- Develop and sustain a high level of technical expertise in areas relevant to current and future business needs.
- Engage in pre-launch and launch activities, ensuring effective reporting and communication of demonstration results.
- Manage projects effectively while adopting and demonstrating Bayer cultural values, policies, business processes, and OH&S requirements.
Does this sound like you?
- Strong understanding of insect resistance management in relation to cotton traits.
- Proven experience in laboratory experimentation, particularly with insect bioassays and colony maintenance.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant Bayer CropScience products and trait technologies in cotton.
- Excellent oral, written, and listening skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all facets of the primary industry.
- Well-developed organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to influence and gain commitment from diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in delivering clear oral and electronic presentations.
- Preferred Experience in insect genetics, ecology, and/or microbiology.
- Understanding of crop protection products would be advantageous
