Clinical Application Specialist, Digital Solutions - Radiology
PURPOSE
As a Bayer Digital Solutions Clinical Application Specialist (CAS), you will be responsible for executing clinical education training and/or strategies that enable Bayer’s customers to achieve their desired outcomes using Bayer’s digital solutions. The CAS provides expert level education for Bayer's enterprise software platforms including, but not limited to, Radimetrics Dose Management platform. In addition to product training CAS assists customers with best practices through a deep understanding of Radiology workflows. The CAS position impacts customer's quality and process improvement efforts through a focus not only on technology, but the people and processes needed to achieve their desired outcomes. Bayer's clinical education team leverages self-serve, virtual, in-person and hybrid delivery approaches to meet diverse customer needs.
In the CAS role you will provide expert level education to Bayer’s Digital Solutions customers, such as Radiologists, Physicists, Technologists, Quality, and IT staff helping them adopt new and powerful emerging technologies across the healthcare enterprise. As a Clinical Application Specialist, you will directly impact customer experience through collaboration on workflow and sharing of best practices to ensure adoption and value realization.
Beyond the customer facing responsibilities, The Clinical Application Specialist role provides significant growth and development opportunities through the additional focus on the strategy, leadership, planning and refinement of Bayer's customer training approach and materials. Clinical Application Specialists contribute clinical, operational and workflow expertise within cross-functional projects and workstreams internally to support Bayer's Digital Radiology Business.
YOUR KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate, Schedule, and Execute on-site and virtual education sessions.
- Manage training documentation and report on education outcomes.
- Provide subject matter expertise to cross-functional groups including Support, Sales, and Marketing.
- Provide routine data organization within customer servers.
- Assist in the creation and revision of education content as needed.
- Gathers customer feedback, contributes to continuous improvement efforts and other strategic projects across the digital organization.
- Contribute to knowledge management initiatives to include knowledge base article creation.
- Build and maintain customer relations while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain expertise with Bayer's current software offerings as well as new versions and revisions. Assist in reporting and interpretation of training and customer health KPIs.
- Contribute to process creation and refinement within the Digital Radiology Business.
- Cross-functional collaboration to support new clinical application onboarding.
- Support Sales and Marketing through assistance with customer demonstrations and evaluations.
- Represent Bayer at conferences and trade shows both virtually and in-person.
- Effective communication in English; speaking, reading, and written.
- Ability to support varying levels of travel, with peaks of up to 50% with some responsibilities representing overnight travel.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent that possesses the following:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates degree in a relatable technical / clinical discipline such as Radiologic Sciences or Information Technology with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience or bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Valid US driver’s license.
- Radiologic Technologist (RT) Certification
- Strong presentation, verbal, and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with individuals of varying educational backgrounds and skill levels.
- Ability to solve problems, manage complexity and ambiguity.
- Hands-on mentality, self-motivation, team-player attitude, detail-orientation, and have a result-driven mindset.
- Strong understanding of Radiology and associated IT workflows, including RIS, PACS, DICOM, and HL7.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and software systems such as Salesforce, Kimble and ServiceMax.
- Strong time management skills.
- Able to travel up to 50% of the time.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior professional training experience
- Radiologic Technologist (RT) Certification
- Security + Certification (CompTIA) – *Obtainable post hire*
- CT, MR Modality or Quality Management
- Knowledge of patient dose management software, electronic medical record systems and/or PACS systems
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $75,000 - $113,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
