Deputy Director, Oncology Nurse Educator, Precision Medicine 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Deputy Director Oncology Nurse Educator (ONE) Precision Medicine, are to: 

 

  • Set nurse educator priorities and strategic plan that align to Vitrakvi brand imperatives and growth strategy;
  • Partner with National Sales Director to deliver an integrated and collaborative field commercial plan;
  • Develop primary strategy and pull through initiatives for academic centers, pediatric centers, hospitals, and community-based practices aligned within the Precision Medicine account management operating model;
  • Provide Oncology RN engagement plan for key congresses, advisory boards, and society meetings;
  • Identify and communicate barriers to adoption of diagnostic testing for NTRK gene fusions and utilization of Vitrakvi across brand and leadership teams;
  • Liaise primarily with Brand Teams to develop direction, portfolio tools, and resources for nurse educators;
  • Build strategic and long-term relationships with RN key opinion leaders (KOLs), advanced practice providers and nursing professionals;
  • Identify and develop relationships with National thought leaders in Oncology;
  • Ensure clinical competency of team regarding NTRK gene fusion testing and ability to articulate appropriate and favorable position for Bayer Oncology product portfolio;
  • Liaise compliantly with regional managers, sales training, and marketing to develop nursing education strategies for Vitrakvi dosing and adverse event management;
  • Lead project development initiatives;
  • Provide Key Opinion leader feedback to Bayer marketing committee;
  • Develop and report ONE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and account level metrics to internal stakeholders;
  • Exercise business acumen;
  • Contribute to incentive compensation plan for ONE team in partnership with National Sales Director;
  • Be responsible for national budget development and allocation;
  • Create customized development plans for oncology nurses;
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team to improve performance;
  • Be responsible for national succession planning process;
  • Be responsible for Project Management Professional (PMP) process and merit;
  • Demonstrate understanding of reimbursement, healthcare trends and public policy;
  • Possess a persuasive communication skill set;
  • Be self- starter possessing excellent interpersonal skills.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree with active nursing license
  • At least 10 years of clinical experience in Oncology with Oncology experience in the pharmaceutical industry;
  • Experience in supervisory or leadership position;
  • Strategic thinking, strong business acumen, and problem-solving skills;
  • Collaborative leadership and project management experience;
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Concise and impactful written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent platform and presentation skills;
  • Ability to organize and manage complex workload;
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and assign resources accordingly;
  • Results driven and ability to deliver through others;
  • Ability to travel extensively.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Master’s degree.
