Director, Insights & Analytics - Health System 

 

The Director, Insights & Analytics Lead, Health Systems is a pivotal member of Bayer’s growing Insights & Analytics group, supporting the US Product & Pipeline and Customer Engagement team within our commercial organization. As the primary point of contact for Health System Operations & Customer Leads, you will act as a key liaison for Health System marketing from the Product & Pipeline team and other supporting functions. Your expertise in gathering customer insights and conducting proactive analyses will be instrumental in assessing performance, identifying opportunities, and developing specific recommendations for the Health Systems team. You will also support the design and implementation of health system strategies and tactics across our portfolio, collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance our analytics capabilities. As an Insights & Analytics leader, you will coordinate across a cross-functional team of analytics, finance, marketing, and sales professionals, developing strong insight and analytic competencies to drive the Insights & Analytics vision and create a competitive advantage for US Pharma.

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the main contact for Health System Capabilities Lead regarding Insights and Analytics (I&A);
  • Collaborate with Health System marketing to gather customer insights and market research for developing new marketing materials;
  • Conduct proactive analyses to assess performance and identify opportunities for leveraging insights;
  • Perform diagnostics to identify key drivers and develop health system-specific recommendations;
  • Support target identification, structural organization, and measurement strategies;
  • Lead initiatives focused on reporting and performance metrics, including field analytics;
  • Facilitate regular evaluation sessions to assess overall performance;
  • Work closely with TA-specific advanced analytics leads to develop alerts and strategies for formulary wins;
  • Collaborate with Electronic Health Record (EHR) experts to support the integration of new data assets and align on analytics that support specific health systems.
  • This role will be Residence-Based in the US;
  • Visa sponsorship may be offered for this role.

 

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree;
  • 10+ years of overall full-time work experience, of which:
    • 5+ years is relevant experience in pharma/healthcare commercial market intelligence (primary research, secondary research, third party data analytics, vendor management, etc.) AND
    • The most recent 3+ years full-time employed in US healthcare domain;
  • Strong knowledge of the US Healthcare environment across multiple segments and brands pertaining to Bayer’s pharmaceutical business;
  • In-depth knowledge of hospitals and health systems, including financial, quality, and affiliation metrics;
  • Strong analysis and synthesis skills, including experience in facilitating insight generation;
  • Hands-on experience in hospital-specific data assets (e.g., HS operational data, EHR, CDM, Mx/Rx claims data);
  • Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of, and experience with relevant pharmaceutical data sources including sales data sources such as IQVIA, SourceRx, Specialty Pharmacy data, formulary, etc.;
  • Record of professional success, demonstrated through above-average performance reviews, promotions, and relevant "extracurricular" activities/engagements;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as demonstrable in oral management presentations, succinct PowerPoint stories and layout, as well as structured syntheses and recommendations;
  • Effective project management skills, as demonstrated by on-time, on-budget project delivery;
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including team leadership, thought leadership, and leadership awareness;

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-graduate degree (Master’s/Ph.D.) in Health-Economics, Statistics, Management Science, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.

 

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $166,868 to $250,302.  Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.

This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
