Sr Manager Customer Business eComm 

 

Position Overview:

As a Major Tasks Responsible, you play a pivotal role in achieving volume and KPI objectives for a significant portion of the BCH business. You will lead key sales processes and deliverables within your assigned portfolio. Your leadership in business-planning sessions will engage a cross-functional team, including customer marketing, field sales, sales strategy, marketing, finance, sales ops, and e-commerce. You will spearhead selling presentations and cultivate relationships at all levels within the customer organization, ensuring Bayer meets and exceeds customer supply metrics. Your expertise in forecasting, trade budget management, and retail execution will drive win-win outcomes through innovation and collaboration. You will represent the "voice of the customer" within Bayer, driving profitable results and increasing awareness of critical customer issues.

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Sr Manager Customer Business eComm, are to:

 

  • Achieve volume and KPI objectives through successful sell-in and execution of sales controllables;
  • Lead and execute business-planning sessions by engaging a cross-functional team;
  • Execute all selling presentations within assigned customer/portfolio of brands;
  • Penetrate all levels within the customer organization to cultivate relationships;
  • Execute monthly forecasting to meet/exceed customer supply metrics;
  • Manage trade budget and deduction resolution to stay within budgets;
  • Audit and evaluate retail execution to identify opportunities and challenges;
  • Provide direction to third-party vendors for optimizing retail execution;
  • Integrate and analyze multiple data sources to create selling strategies;
  • Collaborate with customer marketing to develop customer-specific marketing programs;
  • Develop new item sales plans, strategies, and tactics to achieve objectives;
  • Ensure timely and accurate data analysis for distribution build and promotion evaluation.

 

WHO YOU ARE:

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge equivalent to a BS/BA degree (MBA desirable);
  • Competencies in building effective teams, cultivating innovation, learning and change agility;
  • Customer focus, action-oriented/drives results, collaborates globally and locally;
  • Plans and aligns, drives stakeholder engagement.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of progressive sales and/or marketing experience in the consumer package goods industry;
  • 5–7 years of experience building strategic business plans;
