Electrical Engineer (Intermediate/Senior) 

Where do you want to go?
 

This is an exciting opportunity for an Electronic Engineer/Electrical Engineer to join our team and assist in developing electronic systems and sub-systems across Bayer’s range of Radiology medical devices. The Electrical Team is responsible for;

• Designing and maintaining various specialist subsystems and at a board level, ensuring the whole electronics design within each of our devices performs as intended
• Elements of component selection, design, compliance testing, troubleshooting prototype issues and assisting with implementation in production as well as liaising with suppliers

• Electrical circuit design on DC/DC converters, motor drivers, and Battery Management Systems
• Circuit design for digital wired and wireless communications
• Embedded software development for circuit prototyping, sensor reading and fast proof-of-concept
• Design products that meet medical safety standards e.g. IEC60601-1 and medical-level EMC standards, e.g. IEC60601-1-2
• Troubleshoot and improve the design to meet the above medical standards
• Hands-on tasks such as building, soldering, testing, and troubleshooting circuit boards.
• Generation of design specifications, descriptions, test reports, and manufacturing documentation

Does this sound like you?
 

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in highly regulated environment i.e. Medical Device, Automobiles, Aerospace, Defence, Gaming
• At least 3 years’ experience in electrical circuit design and PCBA layout in a regulated environment, hands on experience in prototyping, Soldering, testing troubleshooting Electrical systems
• Knowledge of Schematics and PCB layout in Altium or Orcad
• This role is based at our Rydalmere site in Sydney, and will require you to work onsite.
