CH PS Business Partner

 
   
   

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This role is fully accountable for Product Supply / Supply Chain single point of contact to country commercial /customer for Korea and Japan. The incumbent is a member of the CH Customer Team (Work Team).

The role ensures reliable product availability, optimized cost and cashflow, resilient supply networks, and supply‑enabled business growth, acting as the single point of accountability between Commercial, Manufacturing Sites/CMOs, and Regional / local PS functions.

This accountability includes but is not limited to:

  • Country/ cluster demand/supply consolidation based on commercial strategy,
  • Country/ Cluster S&OP (Sales & Operational Planning) lead,
  • E2E supply chain excellence & efficiency by holistically managed country market trends through demand & supply
  • Collaboration & coordination in country/cluster network for sustainable /cost effective supply chain flow
  • Customer Management (distributor, etc) and SPOC for O2C & Warehouse Management to ensure high level of quality outputs.
  • Member of country /cluster leadership team as PS representative.

 


Key Outcomes & Tasks & Responsibilities

Business Building

  • Build PS capability within country/cluster:  Enhance planning discipline, S&OP quality, and local supply understanding.
  • Support commercial growth strategies: Enable launches, support portfolio expansion, and improve speed-to-market.
  • Drive DSO and future operating model behaviors: Act as PS leader in cross‑functional forum
  • Supply Chain Operational Excellence: Steering the overall supply chain effectiveness and significantly impact the company's competitive position and market share.​

 

Customer Service

  • Product availability: Ensure stable supply to meet Commercial demand
  • Customer Service Excellence: Streamlined and efficient supply chain operations that meet or exceed customer expectations, secure high level customer satisfaction. 
  • Execute new product launches on time: Coordinate with commercial, regulatory, QA, and global supply to avoid delays and ensure market readiness
  • Proactive issue resolution: Detect risks early (forecast gaps, market, country dynamics, supply, and demand volatility, import delays, SKU-specific issues) and drive cross-functional mitigation.
  • Performance Management: Overseeing the country's supply chain performance metrics, ensuring that targets related to inventory levels, cost savings, customer fulfillment, and other KPIs are met or exceeded.

 

Cashflow

  • Inventory optimization: Maintain right balance to prevent stockouts while reducing excess in local warehouses.
  • Minimize obsolescence risk: Align with Commercial on product lifecycle, promotional uplift, and phase-out timing.
  • Support Free Cash Flow targets: Ensure PS contribution to overall CH cashflow expectations.

 

Cost

  • Financial Reconciliation: Consolidated financial analyses based on demand & supply, risk, and opportunities to provide holistic country view. Supporting cost effectiveness in operational process improvements, leading to enhance profitability.
  • End-to-End cost management: Collaborate with PS stakeholders, procurement, E2E planner, commercial, and logistics to keep COGS inflation
  • Write-off prevention: Monitor shelf-life, import timing, slow-mover status; coordinate mitigation via repacking, demand shaping, or stock transfer.
  • Support GM improvement initiatives: Ensure supply network operates efficiently with minimal unplanned cost.

 

Resilience

  • Capacity-to-demand alignment: Ensure capacity‑to‑demand alignment and appropriate multi‑sourcing levels.
  • Multi-sourcing readiness: Identify SKUs needing dual-site / alternative supplier setup to secure supply.
  • Risk mitigation with external partners: Manage customs requirements, CMO / repacker issues, and local regulatory constraints

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead internal & external supply discussions (Commercial, CDH, QA, Customs, WH, repackers)
  • Support E2E Planner on demand/supply decisions
  • Manage local complexities (import, customs, SKU-specific issues)
  • Represent country in regional S&OP / capability initiatives
  • Lead PS topics (Commercial, CDH, EM, EMQ, CQJ (Pharma), RA, Pharma SCM, Shiga Site, PRO, O2C)
  • Represent PS towards local external customer (CMO, Sales Partner)
  • Close collaboration with JP specific functions to maintain business in Japan as same MAH for CH and PH

 

 


WHO YOU ARE

  • Professional experience: 10+ years End-to-end Supply Chain Management in consumer products or similar industry.
  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or related field, MBA is a plus.
  • Excellent English is a must, fluent in Korean is a plus
  • Based in either Seoul, Korea; Osaka, Japan or Singapore

  • Stakeholder Management: Possessing strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, manage relationships, and collaborate with stakeholders, while providing leadership to align and guide diverse groups towards achieving common objectives.
  • Risk Management Expertise: Possesses a keen ability to pinpoint and evaluate potential risks and opportunities within the supply chain, coupled with a strategic approach to minimize risks and harness opportunities for added value.
  • Market Insight: A deep understanding of market dynamics and trends, empowering proactive adaptation, and strategic positioning within the competitive arena.
  • Change Management: Demonstrates a sophisticated capacity to orchestrate and implement organizational and operational transformations within the country that affect the entirety of the supply chain continuum.
  • Resilience and Adaptability: Exhibits a robust and agile approach, ensuring steadfast support for the country's business objectives and the evolving needs of customers.
  • Sales and Operational Planning Expertise: Proficient in crafting, implementing, and overseeing the country or cluster's Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes with precision and strategic oversight.
  • Financial Acumen: Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of financial principles and consolidation processes, with a business-oriented mindset that provides robust support to commercial stakeholders during budgeting process.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously seeking and implementing improvements in the supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and improve service levels.
  • VACC Leadership: Drive DSO behaviors & collaborative decision-making

 

 

This position will be based in either Seoul (Republic of Korea); Osaka (Japan); or Singapore, and candidates are being recruited concurrently across these locations.

If the final selected candidate is based in the Republic of Korea, the employment relationship will be established with Bayer Korea Ltd.;
if the candidate is based in any other location from the above, the employment relationship will be established with the relevant local legal entity in that country.
