Regional CAT Manager - Formulation Chem. 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contributes to development of global category strategy & implements strategy for his/her portfolio, ensuring alignment, compliance, as well as other process standards to deliver required business performance in his/her region.
• Close collaboration with business and builds effective, trustful, personal and virtual relationships with key global, regional or country stakeholders.
• Manages supply agreements & contracts. Monitors and controls contractual agreements and clauses over entire lifecycle and minimizes exposure to contractual risks in external relationships through usage of terms and conditions aligned with legal function.
• Analyze purchasing markets and its segments/conditions/trends, market players and innovation trends. Provides country-specific market intelligence to mitigate supply risk and gain competitive advantage.
• Manages supplier relationships and implements supplier management principles in supply base, builds relationships and improves supplier performance. Incorporates company’s responsibility and commitment to sustainable business practices into category supplier relationships and ensures compliance through reports, audits and improvement plans.
• Plans and executes sourcing events via external partner to create a competitive advantage.
• Supports diversity and inclusion programs in local markets as appropriate
• Manage innovation together with strategic suppliers and Bayer’s R&D teams
• Deliver yearly savings, price index, working capital improvements, sustainability and other key performance indicator, in tight regulatory markets.
• Conduct supplier management monitoring the supplier performance and steering the required level of services,  of GEP in the region

WHO YOU ARE

• BA/BS in a relevant field and minimum 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, such as MBA/MS in a business or technical field
• Strong leadership & managerial skills at the general management level
• Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, influencing & problem solving skills
• Strong ability to manage virtual team environment
• Organization, executive level, intercultural & interpersonal skills,
• Demonstrated analytical decision making skills & creative thinking
• Specific knowledge & experience of strategic procurement, quality management systems, Japanese and Korean chemical regulatory requirements & logistics processes, principles & practices
• Must be able to single handedly manage Japanese suppliers; especially in relation to cultural values and assumptions, business customs, and Japanese business and technical language. Must have worked in Japanese environment, minimum 3 years in business capacity.
• Similar ability to manage Korean suppliers would be an added advantage.
