MAIN PURPOSE:
The Sr. Product Specialist is a key player in Bayer’s mission to improve people's lives through science. In this role, you will build strong relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) to promote Bayer's products and therapeutic areas. You will be expected to achieve sales targets while adhering to ethical and compliance standards. With a focus on shared ownership, the MR will also contribute to broader business objectives and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
YOUR KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sales Achievement:
- Achieve and exceed sales targets for assigned products within the territory.
- Develop and implement effective territory plans to optimize sales potential via Plan of Action.
- Conduct regular customer visits, providing scientific information and addressing HCP needs.
- Generate demand for Bayer products through value-based selling and clinical evidence.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key HCPs in the territory.
- Understand HCP needs and preferences to tailor promotional activities accordingly.
- Utilize CRM tools to effectively manage customer interactions and data.
- Provide timely and accurate feedback on market dynamics and customer insights.
- Medical and Scientific Expertise:
- Possess a deep understanding of Bayer's products, therapeutic areas, and clinical data.
- Stay updated on medical advancements and industry trends.
- Deliver scientific presentations and educational programs to HCPs.
- Collaborate with medical affairs to address HCP inquiries and provide scientific support.
- Shared Ownership and Collaboration:
- Contribute to the overall success of the business by taking ownership of assigned tasks and projects.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, sales, medical affairs) to achieve shared goals.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement and innovation.
- Embrace a growth mindset and seek opportunities to develop new skills and knowledge.
- Compliance and Ethics:
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales and promotional activities.

WHO YOU ARE:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, healthcare or a related field
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in sales, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Experience in Ophthalmology is required.
- Key account management experience will be an added advantage
- Good track record on HCPs interactions and strong understanding of the healthcare market and environment.
- Possess strong presentation, planning, organization and analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Strong sense of commitment and dedication, with sense of urgency to get things done and results-driven attitude
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written
- Strong team player, adaptable and versatile with the ability to work cross-functionally in the team
