Global Category Manager, Seed Tolling & Field Production Services 

 

Global Category Manager, Seed Tolling & Field Production Services for St. Louis, MO to ensure implementation of supply chain strategy for seed production & processing services; identify market trends in supply base to drive innovation & gain competitive market advantage; analyze cost benchmarks for production area to define pricing models; translate production data & forecasts into sourcing strategies; set joint target agreements & align sourcing projects with business stakeholders; develop, negotiate & manage supply agreements and contracted suppliers. Requires Bachelor’s in Business or Engineering field & 6 yrs progressive post-Bachelor’s experience conducting make-or-buy analyses for production processes; understanding & analyzing total cost of ownership structures, including comparative internal cost benchmarks for area(s) of responsibility, to develop improved and/or innovative pricing models; managing & driving project, planning and finance stakeholder engagement to develop and implement procurement category strategies; developing & implementing procurement sourcing strategies, including conducting RFIs and RFPs; negotiating strategic direct contracts with suppliers for production activities; monitoring & identifying category market intelligence and supply market trends to gain a competitive market advantage and inform business decisions; using MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, & MS PowerPoint to prepare financial and non-financial analyses and reports on spend, supply base, industry and market trends; and managing supplier relationships, including performing risk assessment & capability and performance evaluations for suppliers. Up to 5% U.S. & int’l travel req’d. Telecommuting permitted from home office location within reasonable commuting distance of St. Louis, MO up to 4 days per week.
