Principal Engineer, Process Control Technology 

Principal Engineer, Process Control Technology for St. Louis, MO to develop process control strategies; lead analysis & definition of process control technology (PCT) requirements; lead safety reviews for PCT systems, equipment & personnel; lead PCT system design for capital projects within scope & budget; support configuration & testing of control systems; generate PCT system documentation; collaborate with cross-functional engineers; provide technical assistance during construction & commissioning. Requires Master’s in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering or closely-related engineering field & 6 yrs experience designing process control technology (PCT) systems for pharmaceutical, chemical and/or industrial facilities; generating PCT P&IDs, loop drawings, schematics, functional specifications and/or instrument specifications; conducting automation validation & qualification; developing process control strategies; building automation & safety systems and industrial control networks; working with low, medium and/or high-voltage electrical systems; adhering to national & international standards for process control, low voltage electrical and instrumentation, including NFPA, NEC and/or IEC61511; coordinating and/or controlling capital projects, including performing project planning, scheduling, cost control & contract development; writing technical & scope documents for project execution; providing field support for & participating in the check-out, commissioning and start-up of process control installations; working as part of cross-functional engineering teams; and communicating technical information to management, engineering & design stakeholders and vendors. Will also accept Bachelor’s in said fields & 8 years progressive, post-Bachelor’s stated experience. Up to 50% US & int’l travel req’d.
