YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensures Accurate Reporting: Review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensures compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements. Analyzes financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Drives the accurate, complete, and timely submission of Financial Statements (HBII and HBI) and ensuring adherence to established deadlines and quality standards.
• Executes Critical Closing Tasks: Performs essential month-end and year-end closing tasks in accordance with the defined activity split with the Global Business Service (GBS), facilitating smooth operations and timely financial reporting.
• Leads Trial Balance Review: Leads Trial Balance review process, preparing supporting balance sheet. Ensures proper valuation and recoverability of assets, timely closing of accruals, and analyzes and corrects any abnormal balances. Collaborates closely with GBS on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the quality of balance sheet schedules.
• Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting. Implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Accounting Business Partner: Acts as the Accounting Business Partner and collaborates with GBS on accounting related topics.
• Coordinates Accounting Activities: Collaborates with local business functions on relevant and material accounting activities to ensure the quality and effectiveness of financial information provided, thereby supporting informed business decisions.
• Supports Audit Requirements: Prepare for regulatory audits and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Coordinates with external auditors during annual audits and ensure timely provision of required documentation. Address audit findings and implement recommendations for improvement. Leads in fulfilling internal and external audit accounting requirements to safeguard license to operate.
• Continuous Improvement: Identifies opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function.
WHO YOU ARE
- Must be BS Accountancy graduate, preferably CPA.
- More than 5 years of experience in Audit and/or Accounting.
- Knowledge of the relevant IT systems (e.g., SAP)
- Knowledgeable in Excel, Power Point and SharePoint. Experience in PowerBI, Powerquery, PowerAutomate and other data analytics tools would be a plus.
- Fluent in English, any other spoken language is a plus.
- Advanced communication skills and ability to express complex issues in an understandable manner.
- Ability to lead teleconferences in an international context
- Ability to collaborate and work under pressure with high flexibility in changing and complex environments
