General Ledger Masterdata Associate 

Responsible for independent, timely and accurate processing of requests/tickets according to process documentation, ICS, process improvement, trainings and DSO behaviors. Support the Home Lead and Work Leads and the team in clarifying operational issues.

YOUR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Handles a Master Data Coordinator Role, as assigned
•    Main Responsible under General Ledger Masterdata for simple and less complex activities. (depending on Team Structure)
•    General Ledger Masterdata: Cater Master Data Extension, changes of account/cost element settings and manage request/ticket received in SNOW
•    General Ledger: Support on performing WPA for Non-Complex Entries (GFO and Business Initiated), Account monitoring & clearing (All GFO GL assigned), BayJED Check, where needed
•    Updates and creates documentation, whenever required
•    Ensures timely and accurate performance of ICS controls 
•    Contributes to LEAN and Innovation activities in collaboration with RFH and GFO teams
•    Complies with Bayer policies and procedures and supports company initiatives 
•    Proactively takes on ownership and accountability, evaluating additional ad hoc support required and going the extra mile beyond defined tasks
•    Performs other tasks as required by the role

WHO YOU ARE:

Education

•    University degree with major in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

Professional Experience

•    0 to 1 year of professional experience in Accounting and/or Audit
•    Basic understanding of Finance systems and procedures both at a corporate level and a country/international level
•    Basic knowledge of global accounting and reporting requirements, accounting processes and internal controls as well as local and global accounting policies (IFRS, local GAAP)
•    Basic understanding of group businesses as well as businesses specific and internal reporting related accounting practices
•    Ability to work successfully with people from different cultures and backgrounds
•    Ability to collaborate and work under pressure with high flexibility in changing and complex environments
•    Ownership mindset, addressing challenges proactively and with end-to-end focus, and ensuring close connection to relevant stakeholders

Language Skills

•    Strong level of English; any other language would be beneficial

Digital Skills / Application

•    Expertise with enterprise-wide business systems thorough knowledge of ERP (SAP FI, CO, S4HANA) and BI systems and proficiency of Microsoft Office applications would be beneficial
