Regional Capability Community Lead
The IP Senior Manager & IP Experience Lead is accountable for the end to end Invoice Processing (IP) experience across S2P, ensuring First Time Right (FTR) outcomes, a coherent Home & Work operating model, and measurable value realization at scale.
The role provides enterprise level stewardship of how Invoice Processing is experienced by suppliers and internal stakeholders—from invoice receipt through payment and resolution—while operational steering is exercised for Global Suppliers, Germany, and Switzerland through governance, prioritization, and decision clarity.
Guided by VACC leadership principles, the role ensures IP delivers a great, predictable, and trusted experience, supporting Bayer’s purpose: “Health for all, Hunger for none.”
YOUR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Visionary
• Owns and shapes the end‑to‑end IP experience, ensuring a seamless, intuitive, and consistent user experience across regions, hubs, and service segments.
• Champions an experience‑led mindset, balancing user simplicity, operational effectiveness, and control requirements within the IP operating model.
• Drives enterprise clarity on IP experience priorities through senior stakeholder engagement and change narratives.
• Ensures Global Suppliers, Germany, and Switzerland are treated as critical experience segments, with clear guardrails for stability and stakeholder trust.
Architect
• Owns the Home & Work Lead operating model, including role clarity, governance, and decision rights.
• Ensures effective separation and orchestration of:
Home Lead (people, capability, coaching)
Work Lead (outcomes, prioritization, execution)
• Establishes enterprise governance cadences that translate operating model intent into consistent FTR outcomes.
• Designs fit for purpose operational steering for Global Suppliers, Germany, and Switzerland, enabling teams to focus on value adding work, make faster decisions, and resolve issues at the right level
Catalyst
• Provides enterprise stewardship of First Time Right, focusing on systemic drivers of defects, rework, and exceptions.
• Drives cross functional alignment (Operations, Digital, Finance, Procurement, BE, GPO, IT) to remove root causes rather than fixing symptoms.
• Tracks & Governs benefit realization, ensuring improvements are measurable, sustained, and embedded in the operating model.
• Empowers employees to take ownership, proactively addresses escalations, and transparently shares results and learnings – especially across Global Suppliers, Germany and Switzerland.
Coach
• Builds leadership capability to operate effectively within a Home & Work model.
• Coaches leaders to strengthen decision quality, outcome ownership, and enterprise thinking.
• Reinforces feedback‑driven leadership culture aligned with Bayer and VACC standards.
• Supports leaders through transformation, ambiguity, and enterprise‑level trade‑offs.
WHO YOU ARE
• University degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or comparable professional qualification.
• Extensive senior leadership experience (15-20+ years) in Global Business Services / Shared Services, preferably in S2P / Accounts Payable.
• Proven track record of leading transformation, digital, or operating model initiatives, with clearly articulated and quantified outcomes.
• Strong expertise in operating model design, service delivery, and benefit realization.
• Strong capability in both strategic system level thinking and operational understanding,
• Excellent executive communication, stakeholder leadership, and systems thinking zapability.
• Demonstrated strength in cross functional stakeholder leadership and partnering, including senior stakeholders across regions and functions
• Recognized expertise in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred).
• Strong digital and technology literacy, including experience working with automation and AI enabled solutions in operations.
• Demonstrated experience in coaching senior leaders and building succession ready organizations.
• Flexible to operate across global time zones
