Regional Medical Lead Radiology 

 

POSITION PURPOSE:
Regional Medical Lead (RML) is responsible for planning and implementing disease focused Medical Strategy, take ownership in Global Disease Chapter, and supports VP of APAC Medical Affairs to build overarching Medical Strategy. The incumbent should align disease strategy and relevant collaborative initiatives across functions. The incumbent provides medical expertise and advice to support regulatory, development and business initiatives, supports business partners in scientific discussions and initiatives that demonstrate the value of diseases and products, builds advocacy, and manages thought leaders(TLs) to drive business contributes to the global developmental clinical trials as regional medical expert, is responsible for pivotal studies and investigator-initiated research. The incumbent represents Bayer Radiology as medical expert to interact with top thought leaders and other external stakeholders. The incumbent is capable of taking leadership and mentor roles within organization, come up to speed quickly on a new therapeutic area and functions on regional and global level.The incumbent will provide medical inputs to APAC functions and global functions, and also involved in supporting the regulatory submissions and answering medical queries for launch of new indications.


YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take dynamic shared ownership in APAC RAD.
  • Develop APAC disease medical strategy and plan.
  • Plan and implement disease-focused activities, lead or co-lead regional or global disease initiatives.
  • Foster mutually productive partnerships with tls in the areas of medical education and clinical/scientific research.
  • Develop TL advocacy to drive effective communications and key medical education initiatives on the assigned therapeutic area.
  • Interpret, communicate complex scientific data and information effectively to external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of market access programs.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with internal teams on global and regional and country level.
  • Contribute to publication planning, development of medical education materials and programs, internal scientific training to sales force,
  • Deliver medical presentations to diverse audiences effectively, Including physicians, pharmacists, nurses, radiographers, etc.
  • Collect and analyze competitive intelligence into strategy.
  • Provide medical information service to assigned therapeutic area.
  • Maintain thorough and up-to-date knowledge of disease state, clinical information, product data and market landscape within assigned Therapeutic area.
  • Quickly develop advanced knowledge and understanding of therapeutic area products and/or related fields
  • Coordinate and/or lead projects from inception to conclusion
  • Negotiates for win-win results and solutions through knowledge of the role, the changing pharmaceutical environment and the company
  • Main responsibility area: APAC Region.
  • Provide proactive medical expertise to India, build connection with local Pharma MAPV and other APAC RAD Medical Affairs colleagues.

 

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Advanced clinical/science degrees preferred, msc, phd, pharmd, MD
  • At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry as an MSL/Medical Advisor. Experience in Radiology or liver disease relevant TA would be a plus.
  • Effective communicator (written and presentation) in English with good interpersonal relationship skills and experience of developing and delivering presentations.
  • Must excel at working independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Data research skills, analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.
