Occupational Health Physician 

 

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:  

1. Follow up the Health Objectives of the Site and optimize the medical activities (e.g. pre-employment & periodical exams, medical appointments and medicine control, medical files management), in order to detect and control the appearance of new diseases and maintain the general health and physical integrity conditions of all employees.

2. Plan health programs and preventive campaigns, including local Bayer initiatives in order to prevent illnesses and promote health protection among employees.

3. Plan the training programs in prevention, promotion and protection of employees’ health and first aid brigade.

4. Detect and follow up of hazards in activities carried out by employees (chemical or biological agent exposure, ergonomics) in order to maintain healthy workplaces.

5. Prepare statistical reports regarding health activities and training for the Head of SSHE Lerma, including accidents & absenteeism analysis to detect root causes in order to define and implement preventive and corrective actions.

6. Update of internal procedures and pandemic plans considering medical good practices, standardization and continuous improvement of processes.

7. Support the Site Emergency Response Plan regarding medical issues within the Site. 8. Participate in the initial care and oversights of accidents within the Site from the initial assistance to the appropriate transfer to the hospital.

 

Who You Are:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Preventive Medicine (Doctor with degree) or bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgeon.
  • Experience: +2 years working in industry regarding occupational medicine and health topics (including ergonomics).
  • +1 year working in Hospital.
  • Desirable: SSHE Mexican Legislation.
  • Languages: Spanish and basic English.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Competences: - Ability to plan, implement and supervise prevention programs. - Strong knowledge in toxicology, epidemiology and occupational health and safety practices.
  • Knowledge in legal regulations (IMSS, COFEPRIS, STPS) and standards regarding Health & Industrial hygiene areas (ISO 45001 and Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Skills: - Flexibility and integrity. - Have service-oriented thinking action and attitude as well as exceptional service and results delivery. - Deal effectively with changing situations and maintain composure in pressure (emergencies) or conflict situations. - Proactive to make timely decisions. - Organizational and effective communication and presentation skills, written and verbal. - Teamwork and collaboration.
