Analytical Scientist II 

 

POSITION PURPOSE:

 

  • This role focuses on analytical method development for route scouting, process development, and the scale-up of various crop protection products. The ideal candidate will have a skill set to operate and develop methods on GC-MS, LC-MS, and UPLC/UHPLC. 
  • Work within an interdisciplinary and cross-divisional team and be part of the Global Crop Protection Innovation organization. You will give analytical support to develop an innovative, industrial-scale synthesis of crop protection agents.

 

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Develop and validate analytical test methods for new product development.
  • Solve complex analytical development problems and challenges on a day-to-day basis.
  • Play a vital role in impurities separation, identification, and quantification using various analytical techniques like HPLC/UHPLC, UPLC LC-MS/MS, GC, and GC-MS/MS
  • Document analytical data to support product development and registration.
  • Write/review/execution of analytical laboratory-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/test methods.
  • To maintain instruments and analytical development laboratory with all aspects.
  • Participation in internal/external inspection/audit preparations and documentation.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage numerous activities simultaneously, to ensure timely delivery of analytical objectives.

 

KEY WORKING RELATIONS:

 

Internal

  • Coordinate with ADL team members as well as synthesis chemistry lab for analytical development-related activities
  • Co-ordinate with site QC and GMP team for analytical development-related activities

 

External

  • Coordinate with various vendors and engineers for instrument installation/ maintenance activities

 

WHO YOU ARE:

 

  • M.Sc/ Mpharm/ PhD in Analytical/Organic Chemistry with more than 10 years experience
  • Deep understanding of various analytical tools and supporting software like Empower, OpenLab CDS, LabSolutions. And Chromeleon
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to do structure elucidation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment to achieve results
  • High assertiveness, enjoys working as an individual contributor in a team and can guide and develop employees
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to multitask, effectively plan and follow through on complex projects in a multi-disciplinary international team
  • Ability to effectively challenge the status quo and underlying assumptions to discover innovations, and the ability to turn ideas into results
