 POSITION PURPOSE:

1. Functions as a responsible member of the local management for providing occupational health services to site employees and implementing HSE key requirements.
2. Comply Statutory requirements- Update & maintain legal medical forms like form 32,33,22..
3. Medical record keeping to comply statutory and institutional guidelines & report to medical officer .
4. Conduct Medical Surveillance program for all employees
5. Handling OHC in shift duties and provide immediate Emergency medical care services for occupational illness/injuries of employees also for personal illness of employee during work.
6. Extends full support to ensure that the requirements covered under ISO-9001, 14001 & 45001 , RC regulations are always complied with.
7. Promoting and monitoring employees’ health, providing treatment and catalysed rehabilitation under supervision of medical officer

 TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Take independent charge of OHC activities in shift duties.
2. Take proactive initiatives in the matter of HSE with an objective to upgrade the HSE/OHC standards at the site by reporting and eliminating unsafe conditions and acts so as to prevent accidents or incidents.
3. Organizing, managing and maintaining occupational health activities according to company policies under supervision of Occupational physician.
4. Medical check-up and counselling, investigations and treatment of all occupational / non-occupational illnesses / accidents.
5. To ensure good standard of medical care - preventive, curative and primitive
6. To ensure compliance with statutory regulations and maintain the required records
7. Liaison with local Hospitals and Specialists for secondary and tertiary medical care
8. Pre-employment & Periodical Medical Examinations for employees and contractors
9. Support for surveillance of Industrial Hygiene and Occupational health & safety aspect
10. Ensure biological monitoring if needed, hearing conservation program, supervision of food hygiene, first aid training.
11. As per schedule regularly check & maintain First Aid box, Eye wash bottle in the plant / Department.
12. Conduct annual and periodical medical check-up of all employees as laid under statutory norms
13. Ensure timely and 24-hours emergency and first-aid services.
14. Support Industrial Hygiene monitoring to enforce compliance with applicable legal HSE requirements
15. Conduct Occupational Health & Safety Risk Analysis (OHSRA), & HIRA.
16. Participate in Mock drill, Promotional activities,
17. To advise purchasing and stores departments in ensuring high quality and availability of emergency medical equipment.
18. Update SOPs, ISO-9001, 14001 & 45001, RC documentation. Prepare Monthly OHC reports and presentations.
19. To maintain the housekeeping at department and regular checks of OHC equipment’s available in OHC & Ambulance & ensure its working condition & calibration.
20. Support Digitalization project of medical health records of employees.
21. Impart training on First aid treatment, Occupational health related trainings like Chemical hazards, MSDS , Ergonomics etc. as well as on different health topics to site employees

WHO YOU ARE :

1. G.N.M.(General nursing and midwifery) 3 years course from government recognized institute.
2. Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in industries preferably in chemical industries, Capable of handling Emergency medical services with Good Medical knowledge.
3. Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word & Power Point. Knowledge of other application are addon,
4. Proactive approach with good communication and presentation skills & Analytical ability,
5. Enthusiastic, Flexible & competent to adopt changes
