YOUR TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Responsible for regional compliance with legal and corporate regulations.
  • Lead the HSE Management System.
  • Collaborate in the identification and development of strategic HSE projects and initiatives.
  • Serve as a referent for HSE risk assessments and audits.
  • Culture HSE referent in areas/units assigned including Field Operations, Production Plant Operations & Logistics.
  • Actively ensure regional compliance with legal and corporate requirements. Staying up to date with changes to regulations relevant to the Region and communicate accordingly, lead the development and implementation of action plans to address any necessary adjustments. Assess legal compliance at Row Crops sites and conduct regular reviews to monitor adherence to regulations.
  • Lead the HSE Management System for the Region (ISO-45001, Corporate Regulations, Bayer OnePSS): develop and coach internal auditor team, organize internal audit and external audit, collaborate in the implementation of improvement actions plan at the regional level.
  • Collaborate in the design and execution of communication campaigns and training programs aimed at improving the organizational safety culture, the well-being of collaborators, and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Serve as a referent for HSE risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and collaborate in the development strategies to mitigate those risks at the regional level.
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify needs and priorities for major projects and changes within Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE). This involves engaging with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements, assess potential risks, Management of Change and align project objectives with organizational goals.
  • Participate in HSE programs such as Occupational Health and Safety program, Behavior Based Safety, Safety Observation, Hazardous Work Permit, Management of Change; collaborate with all departments to develop and implement action plan.
  • Technical Support for investigations of accidents and incidents: collaborate in the investigations into accidents and incidents in the workplace to identify the root cause and develope corrective actions to prevent future occurrences in collaboration with other departments
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators and analyze regional trends, interpret data and identify patterns that guide strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with performance goals and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to incorporate sustainability and environmental protection programs into business practices. Internal: Operational and support areas internal to the site related to Operations Corn product supply. Contracted service providers and global/regional initiatives. External: Participation in external groups, HSE regulatory agencies as a Bayer representative. External auditors, government and local authorities.

 

WHO YOU ARE

 

  • Graduated in Safety, Industrial Engineering, Environment engineering or similar.
  • Knowledge related to Safety and Industrial Hygiene
  • At least 3 years of experience in similar positions.
  • ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, 14000 standards solid knowledge.
  • Intermediate or higher English level.
  • Health and Safety legal requirements knowledge.
  • Other HSE certifications are a plus.
  • Understanding of manufacturing and/or desire to learn agriculture operations.
  • Problem solving, analytical, communication, planning and implementation.
  • Strong Leadership skills.
