Logistic Inbound Coordinator - Villagrán

Main Purpose

• Plan and ensure the supply chain of green corn and corn seed from the different production areas to the processing sites, as well as parent seed freight to the planting areas.

• Negotiate best corn transport rates with freight owners according with economical region conditions.

• Monitor the flow of shipments, ensuring the proper and timely delivery of raw materials.

• Optimize the operating costs associated with inbound freight.

• Recurring communication with freight owners and operators as well as whole Seed Production Staff.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Coordinate frequency, freight quantity, locations and delivery times with different freight companies based on optimal cost.

• Incorporate digital, innovative and sustainable technologies apply to the freights to maximize the operation effciency (MCS, IA, GPS’s, MAT, Navigate, etc)

• Create logistics KPI´s and manage MyControlSite (MES) allowing to measure the process performance as well as execute continuous improvement actions.

• Coordinating with internal teams to resolve issues and streamline operations (incidents in site)

• Anticipate, identify and resolve problems that could delay the release or movement shipments, ensuring Government/Customers compliance.

• Collaborate with Security / Compliance to grant the corporate rules and procedures according with the company.

• Open investigations/ submit claims with carriers (lost in transit, damage in transit, non-receipt cases etc) and see the process through from start to end.

• Responsible of create, save and keep ISO documentation updated

• Act under all HSE protocols and encourage freight owners and operators to maintain machinery on optimal operation conditions.

• Perform annual cost review with Procurement and Internal customer to deliver competitive freight fee

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors in Logistic, Engineering disciplines or related area.​

• Digital skills, logistics KPI’s, negotiations skills, good communication, problem solving, excellent planner, networks and connections.

• Several years of experience on seed processes.

• Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and align across organizational boundaries.
