Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of AI Agents? We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to become a vital part of our dynamic Data Assets, Analytics and AI Platform at Bayer Consumer Health. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in implementing global, cutting-edge AI solutions across commercial, product supply, marketing, and R&D domains.

Our diverse, international team, spanning Poland and Germany, is dedicated to managing the entire product life cycle – from proof of concept to the seamless operation of fully industrialized products. We pride ourselves on delivering innovative solutions that leverage traditional Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Mathematical Optimization, all powered by a modern tech stack featuring Python, Azure and Databricks.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
 

  • Supports the operationalization of AI solutions.
  • Ensures efficiency of the development and deployment process with an aim to reduce time to market.
  • Implements monitoring and backup strategies to ensure robustness of the solution.
  • Responds to system failures and implements solutions to prevent them from re-occurring.
  • Proactively contributes to the discussions about solution architecture by proposing improvements and outlining existing problems.
  • Scales AI solutions and optimizes them in cloud environments for processing time and cost.
  • Enhances reproducibility and scalability of AI workflows, builds frameworks for efficient experimentation.
  • Optimizes the use of version control, and CI/CD.
  • Works in close collaboration with Data Scientists and AI Engineers managing the entire lifecycle of AI products with a focus on industrialization and operations.
  • Participates early in AI product development by formulating and implementing requirements that facilitate deployment and operations.
  • Contributes to complex projects employing generative AI, machine learning, time series forecasting, mathematical optimization, simulation, and NLP techniques, integrating multi-layered data models from internal and external sources.
     

Qualifications & Competencies (education, skills, experience):
 

  • Master’s or PhD degree with 2+ years of experience in DevOps, MLOps, ML/AI Engineering, Software Development or related fields.
  • Proven educational background or applied experience in at least one of the following: Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or other related quantitative/engineering disciplines.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD, pipeline design, solution orchestration, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in: Python, SQL, Databricks, Docker, Github, Bash.
  • Proficiency in Azure stack with emphasize on Azure Apps, Azure Containers, Azure Storage, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Good understanding of the Linux operating system.
  • Proven track record of developing advanced analytics products or backend application within a cloud environment.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with at least one of the following: machine learning, generative AI, forecasting, mathematical optimization will be beneficial.
  • Fluent in English, both written & spoken.
