Finance Business Partner Pharma CEE 

 

As a Finance Business Partner Pharma CEE, you enable the steering of the financial performance of Pharma Commercial Operations for Cluster CEE and Country Poland; You support planning, forecasting and commercial strategies and provide relevant reports, data and insights for planning and decision making; You act as the primary point of contact to the Cluster CDH and Country Manager Poland and as an active member of the Pharma Leadership Team, shaping strategic and operational decisions with a strong customer-centric and performance-driven mindset.

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Finance Business Partner Pharma CEE, are to:

  • Be accountable for finance business partnering for steering P&Ls and Working Capital to achieve Pharma CEE and Poland financial targets and ambitions;
  • Provide advisory and decision-making support to CEE and Poland commercial teams through business and financial steering, planning, forecasting, analysis and performance management;
  • Provide financial support to Pharma CEE and Poland Commercial teams for new product launches and key strategic and operational projects and initiatives;
  • Optimize resource allocation using “Dynamic Resource Flow” and other contemporary approaches to ensure agile and impact-driven investment decisions;
  • Act as a key influencer and network partner within the CEE Cluster and Poland, building strong relationships across commercial, finance and platform functions;
  • Perform financial analysis and challenge commercial conditions and strategies (including benchmarks, trend analysis and pricing/volume drivers) to enable data-driven decisions;
  • Execute operational controlling tasks, including preparation and coordination of forecasting and planning activities, regular performance reporting, month-close tasks, monitoring of sales incentive plans and oversight of transfer pricing;
  • Be accountable for effective Integrated Sales Planning for Poland (in close collaboration with SCM, Finance and Commercial) and provide oversight for CEE;
  • Own and maintain key local governance topics, such as commercial policy, credit management/committees, sales deductions approvals and accruals management;
  • Drive finance and commercial business projects as well as performance improvement initiatives for Pharma CEE teams;
  • Actively support risk management and audit activities in close collaboration with business and platform functions;
  • Represent Pharma Finance to internal and external stakeholders as needed.

 

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

  • Master’s degree in finance or a business-related discipline;
  • Up to 7 years of experience in financial and functional management, ideally in finance business partnering and leadership roles;
  • In-depth understanding of the Pharma business; international and cross-cultural experience is an advantage;
  • Proven ability to work from both a strategic and operational perspective, consistently applying a strong customer-centric approach in decision making;
  • Deep finance acumen and system knowledge, including beyond budgeting, forecasting, framing, monitoring and applicable accounting standards;
  • Ability to understand and apply DSO behaviors in daily work;
  • Flexibility to navigate volatile macroeconomic and market environments and to guide teams through ambiguity;
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build common purpose and collaboration across diverse teams;
  • Mindset characterized by passion, the ability to act as a catalyst for connection and collaboration, and to see change as an opportunity;
  • Fluent English and Polish.
