Asst Mgr Bus Analytics & Forecasting
Position Overview:
As an Assistant Manager in Business Analytics & Forecasting, you play a crucial role in driving data-driven insights and solutions to enhance sales forecasting at SKU and retailer levels. You will leverage your expertise in statistical and machine learning models to refine existing methodologies and develop innovative approaches. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will implement analytical models that optimize sales strategies and ensure robust execution of brand and customer plans. Your ability to communicate complex technical topics to diverse audiences will be vital in conveying nuanced insights and recommendations.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibilities of this role, Asst Mgr Bus Analytics & Forecasting, are to:
- Build production-grade statistical and machine learning models on large-scale datasets for forecasting sales at SKU and retailer level;
- Improve existing machine learning methodologies by developing new data sources, testing model enhancements, and fine-tuning model parameters;
- Develop and deploy analytical models in statistical sales forecasting by brand and key retailers;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement models and provide data-driven recommendations;
- Communicate complicated technical topics and nuanced insights to diverse audiences;
- Write and automate data pipelines to convert raw data into aggregated data using ETL in cloud data systems such as Snowflake;
- Break traditional patterns of thought by generating innovative solutions to business situations and problems;
- Review sales performance and insights data with brand and customer teams to ensure robust plan execution.
WHO YOU ARE:
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other Quantitative discipline;
- Strong knowledge and experience with databases (SQL, etc.) and programming in Python;
- Experience with exploratory data analysis, data visualization, statistical analysis, and machine learning model development and deployment;
- Demonstrated experience with leading machine learning tools and libraries;
- Advanced computer literacy skills, specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint;
- Expertise in time series forecasting;
- Experience or understanding of common ML Ops patterns is a plus;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Experience in the application of syndicated databases (IRI, Nielsen).
