Customer Business Partner 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Customer Business Partner are to: 

 

The Customer Business Partner is responsible to lead Supply Chain

organization towards driving assigned products, customers and North America countries supply performance, effective customer-centric decision-making and end-to-end oversight of the supply status in the market while ensuring financial, regulatory and quality compliance. The candidate will possess strong customer/stakeholder relationship management, Supply Chain and O2C Expertise as well as broad Business Acumen & commercial expertise. Furthermore, the position aims to drive high engagement and collaboration across cross functional stakeholders at Local, Regional and Global level (Commercial, Finance, Regulatory, PS & Quality, etc.).

 

 

  • Being the catalyst (SPOC), point of escalation and handshake with local Customer Engagement, Product Squads and Finance BPs for Supply Chain & O2C topics;
  • As owner of Supply Chain Product operations, the Customer BP is accountable to drive results and deliverables by providing functional leadership to Local & GBS Supply Chain NA functions in accordance with alignments with Customer and Product Squads, company and customer priorities;
  • Accountable to design NA Products Supply Chain operating model, standing member and customer value added contributor to Product Squad's as well as remaining portfolio Brands;
  • Ensure that the commercial policy is aligned with the Supply chain and order to cash strategy of the country;
  • Manage warehousing and transport costs, by proactively optimizing cost-to serve;
  • Co-drive and collaborate joint operations synergies with broader PH portfolio scopes & CH COO;
  • Review and provide best trade-off decisions when customer centric decisions are required (e.g. allocation management, logistics execution) to meet agreed on service levels in alignment with Commercial/Customer Fulfillment Champion;
  • Localize customer segmentation schemes and service catalogues to effectively segment customers and enhance the framework in alignment with Commercial Lead;
  • Channel and follow through JVC customer feedback into PS functions (act like a champion within PS);
  • Operational/day2day as well as bottleneck management interface with local Commercial, Regulatory and Quality and ensure relevant topics are communicated to Supply Agents;
  • Define, communicate, and measure success criteria (incl. customer satisfaction, incremental revenue growth) and trigger mitigation actions;
  • Drive S&OP and IBP initiatives to drive improvements related to working capital and inventory management;
  • Leads strategic & tactical supply readiness activities to enable on time launch management according to commercial needs;
  • Leads SCM operations related to pruning and divestment initiatives;
  • Keep up to date a robust Business Continuity Planning for SCM, O2C, QU;
  • Manage credit risks (P&L), minimize overdues and ensure timely collections (cash);

WHO YOU ARE

 

 

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Leadership experience in managing operational teams;
  • Knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning and forecasting;
  • Strong digital mindset and knowledge of SAP system, especially APO;
  • Excellent communications, stakeholder management and problem­ solving skills;
  • Fluent English skills both in spoken and written form;
  • Strong business acumen and financial knowledge;
  • Courage and driving results in transforming environment;
  • Customer oriented and manages complexity;
  • Acts, learns fast and evolves: works in 90-days cycles, applies learnings fast and continually develops.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Post graduate certificate in a supply chain management discipline;
  • 8+ years of management experience in supply chain or manufacturing;
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration;

 

 

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $150,400 to $225,600.  Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..  This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
