Molecular Imaging Tracer Lead 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Molecular Imaging Tracer Lead are to: 

 

Bayer’s Radiology Division is committed to delivering Health for All, Hunger for None, and is a market leader in diagnostic imaging solutions. The Molecular Imaging Tracer Lead is a dynamic and vital position for a motivated individual eager to drive Bayer’s growth in molecular imaging. This role is key to advancing our business by integrating the strengths of Bayer’s Radiology and Pharmaceuticals organizations, with a dedicated focus on leading and commercializing new molecular imaging tracers in the United States, while partnering with ex-US Commercial Operations teams to maximize the global potential of MI assets. The successful candidate will propel Bayer’s leadership in this field by assessing, crafting, and executing strategies for the development and launch of new tracer products, leveraging broad cross-functional collaboration.

 

  • Lead the creation of strategic plans and outcomes for new molecular imaging tracers, guiding them from development to market launch in partnership with cross-functional teams across Bayer Radiology, Oncology, and Cardiology;
  • Define and execute go-to-market commercialization strategy for new molecular imaging tracers, with a focus on market development, launch readiness, market introduction and sustained growth inside and outside the USA;
  • Develop core branding, positioning, and messaging for future assets, ensuring alignment with Radiology and Pharmaceuticals strategies;
  • Serve as a member of the MI Product Team, alongside the MI Device Lead and other key members (e.g., Medical Affairs, Clinical Development) to drive overall MI strategy and Outcomes for the Radiology division;
  • Establish strong networks of internal Radiology, Oncology, and Cardiology stakeholders, key external thought leaders in these TAs and molecular imaging, and industry experts to obtain real customer insights that inform strategy;
  • Work with Data Science and Advanced Analytics to create segmentation, targeting, and performance indicators for new tracer products;
  • Ensure alignment and communication of marketing strategies with field teams by partnering with Product & Pipeline Portfolio Squad, Customer Squads, Medical, Learning & Development, Regional (e.g., EMEA/APAC/China/LatAm) MI Leads, as well as relevant Pharmaceuticals teams;
  • Collaborate extensively with Oncology, Cardiology, and the broader Pharmaceuticals organization—including Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Business Development & Licensing, and Market Access—to assess and advocate for Radiology’s commercial interests in potential BD&L deals of diagnostic and theranostic tracer agents. This may include preparation of presentations for the Deal Committee and Board of Management for deal approvals and also presentations to the approving bodies within the company;

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

Required Qualifications:

 

 

  • Extensive knowledge of all principal areas of marketing and new product launch required, including developing marketing strategy, tactical development and execution, KPI setting/performance measurement, agency management;
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex information, market data, and financials to develop business cases and formulate action plans;
  • Expertise and proven ability to influence without authority and drive highly matrixed teams to deliver on strategic priorities;
  • Deep understanding and expertise of US Healthcare system, Pharmaceutical industry, and FDA guidelines;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required;
  • Passionate and self-motivated individual who thrives in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment;
  • Flexibility and willingness to act as a change agent with demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire colleagues;
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% (domestically and internationally.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • BA/BS with 10 years of Pharmaceutical Marketing/Product Management/Brand Management experience, OR MBA with 7 years of Pharmaceutical Marketing/Product Management/Brand Management experience;
  • Experience in Radiology/Diagnostic Imaging, Oncology, and/or Cardiology market;
  • Experience in US Oncology TRT, Cardiology, and/or molecular tracer market;
  • Proven ability to develop strong thought leader relationships within Nuclear Medicine, Molecular Imaging, Medical Oncology, and Cardiology.

 

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $262,240.00 to $393,360.00  Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..  This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
