The Radiology Market Access Squad Lead is a visionary leader responsible for driving market access strategies, fostering innovation, and building high-performing teams within Bayer’s Radiology Division. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on support for account executives, acting as a player-coach across multiple channels. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the US healthcare environment, a thorough understanding of radiology channel partners, and a proven ability to deliver value through market access, pricing, payer value proposition, and contract generation.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead market access strategy and execution for Bayer’s radiology portfolio, ensuring optimal positioning and profitability;
- Build, inspire, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement;
- Serve as a visionary leader, partnering with product, customer, and expert squads to differentiate and grow market share, especially for must-win and launch brands;
- Oversee agency, KPI, and budget management to optimize investments and deliverables;
- Ensure adherence to company compliance, policy, and guidelines;
- Manage relationships with payers, providers, pharmacies, OEMs, GPOs, government entities, and distributors to secure optimal pricing and reimbursement;
- Drive innovative approaches to collaboration, creating shared value with Bayer and external partners;
- Develop and execute contracting and pricing strategies, including pull-through programs and cross-functional initiatives to remove access barriers;
- Act as a player-coach for account executives and directors, supporting account planning, strategy, and execution across channels;
- Focus on key organized customer accounts to ensure effective engagement and relationship management;
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, enabling their professional growth and success;
- Lead the development of market access strategies, including pricing, payer value proposition, and contract generation;
- Conduct market research with access customers to inform launch strategies and value propositions;
- Execute comprehensive omnichannel offerings that augment field force engagement.
WHO YOU ARE:
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years, or MBA with 7+ years, in Pharmaceutical/Medical Device Market Access, Payer Marketing, Product Management, or Brand Management;
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing market access strategies, pricing, payer value propositions, and contracting;
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire teams in a matrixed environment;
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex market data and financials into actionable plans;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
- Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging, or Medical Device markets;
- Agile marketing experience preferred;
- Visionary and strategic thinker with a passion for innovation;
- Accountable, results-driven, and adept at building collaborative, high-performing teams;
- Deep understanding of the US healthcare landscape and radiology channel dynamics;
- Skilled at influencing without authority and driving cross-functional alignment.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $ 202,240.00 - $303,360.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.
This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
This role is eligible for an enhanced employee referral bonus.
